SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000007e) This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address. Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted /NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ... If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is happening. Arguments: Arg1: ffffffffc0000005, The exception code that was not handled Arg2: fffff88007f4995e, The address that the exception occurred at Arg3: fffff8800b512678, Exception Record Address Arg4: fffff8800b511ed0, Context Record Address

Two days ago my laptop got infected by the malware "Antimalware Doctor." After trying to remove it, I kept getting a BSOD with the message IRQL not less or equal. I figured it's probably some hidden rootkit and since I didn't had time to deal with it I did a fresh reformat with Windows 7. However, after a day with nothing the same BSOD came up again. Any idea what's the problem?

Hi All,
From the postings, everyone is having BSOD... here are some of the guidelines to check which components is faulty :-
1. Check mainboard (PC only) if any of the electronic component(s) have any significant damaged sign. Such as bulky capacitors, burn mark, burn IC, burn coils etc).
2. Check RAM by removing each RAM 1 piece at a time to identify which RAM is faulty.
3. Try replacing the HDD, format & install it.
4. Last but not least, check your PSU is providing sufficient power output, just unplug any power molex by devices (eg. CDROM, 2nd HDD, graphics card etc).
Should the problems continue, I would suggest a thorough check by certified engineer.

I have a weird problem. My PC would SOMETIMES restart when I am doing the following. 1. When booting up a computer, it will restart the booting. 2. After successfully boot up, then doing my work... halfway, will reboot itself. Could be 10, or 20 , or 30 minutes after I have successfully boot up my PC. 3. Sometimes when I am reading LYN forum, it will auto-reboot.
I tried to reformat my HDD just now. While booting up from the CD-ROM, loading the necessary files into RAM,... it auto-reboot again.
Does anybody have any idea what's wrong?

even if reformat..the old files might still be there unless u find out what and where is those old files and perm delete it... also, how much space is left in ur hdd.. coz from what i know, it's advisable to not fully fill up the hdd eventhough there's some space left..

There's 23GB free space not used. Check your memory using Memtest or Windows Memory Diagnostic to see if you have any bad RAM. You may want to check on your motherboard for bulging / leaking capacitor. You can also use minimum hardware in your system to see if there are any component causing short-circuit to system or borrow a better (pure power) PSU to test your system. Your issue maybe caused by bad RAM and/or motherboard or failing / not-enough-juice PSU. You may want to post up your minidump files or BSOD error info for better analysis.
