History repeats. IIRC, prior to RM being pegged at 3.80 and capital control implemented during Asian Financial Crisis, there was a short period of time where RM depreciated very quickly to 4.8

It happens again now. We will remember this experience 10-20 years down the road tongue.gif

Please be considerate. I am looking after my chair, which may collapse anytime soon. Do you expect me to take care of you while I can't even take care of my own problem ?

QUOTE(cherroy @ Aug 14 2015, 09:21 AM)
But reit may have difficult time ahead at least for near term due to US raising rate, and potential slowdown in property sector.
Also, Singapore property has been softening lately.

So for near term, reit outlook is not that good.

Longer term, yes may be.
*
At least. as a whole, the SG market is more transparent, with better regulation, hence lowering the systemic risks. A for REITs, look at the ones with lower gearing. Start to select from there. After the 'experience earnt' from 2008, the REITs are more resilient now. Sure, I believed there will be some adjustments, but eventually the price will go up again. This will be my prediction.

Start looking at it now,... can start to buy now, or wait a little bit more until the US starts to hike.... the listing has ALL the REITs in SG with all the impt parameters in. It's the bible for SG REITs. I keep hearing people here want to buy SG REITs,... hence the reason I put up this analysis.

When yield up, investors Sell
When yield down, investors Buy
