By the way, thailand's review of Fury X:
http://www.vmodtech.com/main/article/amd-r...096-bit-review/

Fury X is way behind in that review.

The tx rig doesnt really game.

Thank link has error.

Really really wanted fury X. But that 4gb n doesnt have hdmi 2.0. My tv doesnt have dp1.2 n only hdmi 2.0 n doesnt support 1.4 chroma subsampling.

Fury X. Interesting. Cm pump with hwlabs rads.

Cm didnt even take out their logo

The Fury X 1440p heaven scores is pretty low. Only 43.8fps?

I just tested my R9 290 at 1100 core 1500 memory, at max settings 1440p heaven's benchmark and got 33.5 fps...
That didn't include that I ran it with Surface Optimization turned off and texture filtering quality set to High. That robs few percent fps...
*
That actually running at stock clock. Not overclock yet.

QUOTE(S4PH @ Jun 24 2015, 11:26 AM)
Damn that bad for a card costing that much. Bro just a quick question can my system get more performance by changing my cpu to intel i5/i7 currently using a fx8350 or is just better to just OC the bugger  hmm.gif . Btw what is your power configuration to achieve 1100 gpu and 1500 memory? is it at stock
*
Better overclock that fx8350. IMO, don't need to change to i5 or i7. Mine can run 1100 at stock voltage but I didn't thoroughly tested it in many games.

I have bad experience with Kangaroo. If possible I will ask seller to use others.

It all back down to the branch.

For me, I can take everything but ABX/Poslaju, for which they keep silent and didn't ship my stuffs after days reached their office and their office are farther than other couriers from my place.

@GoldFries , between 980 and r390x which one you recommend?
Price to performance ratio is in favor of R9 390X.

Tri-X at RM 1.8k+ vs cheapest GTX 980 (GALAX) at RM 2.4k+

Quite a huge gap, with R9 390X on 8GB RAM. Even better on multi-card config.

GTX980 if you do folding@home. biggrin.gif If you can afford a GTX980, perhaps you should consider top up a bit more for 980Ti.

I do a bit of searching and found that you can get 980ti in RM 2,699.00. Palit brand ok ?

Just what I want to hear...I will be aiming the 390x since Fury is too much an overkill for me. But will wait for other iterations of it and see what's best. The Tri-X is 2 a slot card right? Slimmer than the old 290x.

LOL, didn't know 980 cheapest still RM2.4k+?

I still remember prior to CNY, there's offers around which bundle with PSU/SSD, after deduct the price, GPU effectively only RM1.8k...

Also, now that 980TI come out and RRP dropped 50USD, I guess the price should undergo changes sometimes soon (provided our MYR conversion rate are not further worsen).

But yeah, 390x's 8GB VRAM can be useful in some situations.

Edited, Palit's 980 is relatively cheaper than most other brands, RM2k++.

Yeah, for reference cards, practically you buy from any brands also the same.

The only problem with Palit is their shorter warranty - 2 years, which can be a little short for a flagship 2k+ card.

not derailed.
When talking about red vs Blu Green, we can never forget to compare them against their competitors biggrin.gif

BTW, anyone selling 2nd hand R9 290X ? I'm still on a 6950.

I'm actually thinking of Fury too but also an overkill for me as I'm only gaming at 1920x1080.

Now thinking of whether to go for 390x or wait from prices to drop once fury is out (due to competition) then only decide which card to upgrade to.

My GTX760 needs to be replaced!!!! biggrin.gif

R9 390X is impressive in price to performance ratio, and the 8GB VRAM makes it a viable option to run CFX.

Total cost still below RM 4k.

Far cheaper than running GTX 980 Ti SLI. GTX 980 Ti SLI is limited to 6GB VRAM.

I think value wise the r9 390 is even better. Just slightly slower than r9 390x but rm400 cheaper. Should be easily overclocked to 1100 to 1150 mhz to match 390x's performance.
