Need help from the sifus here. Switching back from Xbox360 to PC gaming because I realize my favorite games are best played using a mouse. My last rig was 9 years ago (P duo core!!) so not worth a mention. Using company laptops since then.

[Budget] : 4.3k myr

[Purpose] : Multitasking, Light Gaming (I guess)

[Monitor resolution] : 1x small screen for desk work (17"-19"?), 1x larger screen (24"?) for media viewing on bed room couch

[Games & softwares that use frequently] : VMware Workstation, Dragon Age, Company of Heroes, FIFA, Adobe Lightroom

[Personal preferences] : Max out the RAM if possible (16GB?), 2 HDD (1 for storage, 1 for mem paging). HDD storage can be minimum as static files mostly will be stored inside my RAID 1 ext HDD.

[Others requirement]: WiFi environment, Quiet PC if possible

Many thanks!!!

Thanks TritanX. That's a great reference for me to do the shopping. Have to give and take with that budget, or get the 2nd monitor in the later days. Guess I'm a bit off about the price of gaming PC nowadays. *Woab serious gamers must be burning a lot of money on the rig*

Hard to recommend when there is no budget limit. Try Dell E2414H 24" at RM569 from Viewnet.

[Budget] RM1.3k+-

[Purpose] For general office usage (Microsoft office, accounting software etc)

[Location] Ipoh

Been searching around for the hardware for my need. Here is the list hardware I gathered so far, please let me know is these spec are fine.

Pentium G3220 176
Asrock H81M-HDS 185
WD Blue 1TB hard disk 179
Kingston 4GB DDR3-1600 x1 125
Any 20" LCD ~ 300
Any Optical drive ~50

Total = RM1015

Meanwhile Im still undecided for psu and case. I see you guys here all seems to be recommending Antec VP400 @ RM109? Is that the best within the budget?
For casing, is CM Elite 360 okay? since I prefer it to be as small as possible.

Thanks for the reply. I just noticed the N200 too, Elite 360/361 would be smaller in overall dimension but N200 look pretty nice with just around Rm20 price difference.
How about the psu?

Reasons why you dislike Windows 8.1? Usability of the Modern UI? hmm.gif
If that's the case, use Classic Shell. The under-the-hood improvements are well worth it. icon_idea.gif

BTW, nothing wrong going with 7, since you can upgrade to Windows 10 for free. icon_idea.gif

Somewhat incorrect. Microsoft still provides support to 7, however there is no more update/improvements in features. Only security updates will be provided. icon_idea.gif

Note though, some newer platforms will not support 7. Intel's future platform, Skylake will likely to remove support for 7. icon_idea.gif
http://wccftech.com/intel-skylake-remove-s...platform-specs/

However, TS has the ability to upgrade to Windows 10 for free. icon_idea.gif

BTW, I think Windows 8.1 is a fantastic OS, even though there is a lot of debate surrounding Modern UI. icon_idea.gif
