Usually the AF of my HSBC Amanah platinum cc was auto-waiver. This year they suddenly charge AF on my card. Called in to request for waiver, the CS never ask a single question, straight away say no problem. And I received a SMS for waiver of my AF within 3 days.

HSBC CS is famous for long waiting time. Sometimes, when we call at wrong hour, might need to wait for 30+ mins. that is the main drawback for HSBC. Everyone know that. They themself also know that.

Choose option BM for language. Your waiting time will be cut by 50%. That is the trick.

RANT!!!!! DONT GET HSBC CARDS!!!!

1. Long CS wait time till give up!

2. U will get average 2 times Marketing ppl calls a month offering u to get personal loans n so on! They wont stop to harass u!!!!! Despite repeatedly rejected it!

3. told HSBC to block marketing calls but fallen to deaf ears!

4. Wrote them letters to terminate but couldnt find their address (for registered mail)

5. Email slow poke reply till i received penalty due to interest charged!

I received lots of marketing calls before as well. Called CS to stop that, but no one bother me. I wrote 3 letters to complaint then finally they stopped calling me till today. I guess everyone are going through the same process I was facing years ago.
Guess what, there is one incidence HSBC decided to change the CS phone number. But they never bother to inform also. The phone behind the card were wrong, the phone on the statement were wrong, the phone in their website also wrong! And I lost my cards but can't get to contact them! I only found out the correct phone number when I went to the nearest branch. The officers in the bank also not aware that they had changed the CS number. That was how bad the service is
The only reason I am still holding their card is because they give me constant cash back monthly and free AF. Or else, the services are sucks!

I noticed HSBC and Citibank always has lots of term and conditions. I always don't specifically participate any campaign for these 2 banks. Has been victim for many times.

I think it is time to say goodbye to HSBC VS. the reason I am holding it because it is not so calculative as of citibank cc. Citibank cc is very bad as when we go through the term and condition, so many things we couldn't get reward points and hence I cancelled it last year. Now HSBC come with the same stupid rules. We just can't swipe the cc at anytime as we like as there are so many condition that is excluded from gaining rewards points!! Then what is the point we use the cc!

one thing hsbc no good is they keep on calling you to offer supp card application la, advance easy money la, increase cl la.... macam macam ada~~

Not necessary. Years ago, I were facing the same thing as you. Every week there will be a phone call to offer lots of things. Apparently that was because when we apply the card, the officer help us to tick on the column to allow calling for offer. I was extremely unhappy as it really disturb my daily living by receiving this type of call. Then they help me to opt out.
So you could do that by just calling the CS and tell them you don't want to receive this type of call in future. Then the frequency would reduce to may be once a year only
