as seem recently it is multiple bank different cards affected.

and most transaction is small amount ie RM5 or USD1 or so.

seemed the scammer is trying to test if our card is working.

if we don't call the bank to block it, next thing is they will start charging scam transactions.

please DO NOT SHARE MISLEADING statement over here.

some others might be victimized by this statement and just leave it as it is when they see visa provisioning in USD.

go understand what is visa provisioning by some google.

it won't appear on its own. somebody must have try to pre-authorize it.

the safe and correct way: if you see unknown visa provisioning service in USD, contact bank cs IMMEDIATELY

if its in USD and you never transact USD transaction at all recently.

this particular transaction NOT LEGIT and SCAM transaction. period.

but of course, the service itself is provided by Visa as a whole, where anyone can use it, including scammer

so i think we should focus on card features instead, eg. how many cb % or airmiles it bring, or airport lounge visit, rather than the branding VI VS or world MC.
if a visa classic can easily offer RM100 cb per month, why not get it nod.gif .

but my point is the privileges or benefits are tied to the specific card offered by specific bank, rather than the branding of VS, VI etc which did not bring much value itself.

for eg.
Alliance VI only offer 2x , PB VI 3x lounge access, while HSBC VS offer 6 times lounge access annually.
PB Visa Platinum 2x , comparable to Alliance VI.
Aeon Visa Gold 3X, Visa Platinum 6x, already better than Alliance VI.

supposedly Gold->Plat->VS->VI, but due to different bank offerings, you could be getting better benefits while holding a lower tier card.

anyone receive CB from the monthly and weekly spend campaign?

T&C state >6 weeks from 31 May.

Seem its taking quite sometimes for them to credit in the CB.

12 weeks from 31 May is till end Aug.
But other bank usually give the cb earlier

Just an update on the CashSweep promo.

did not receive any CB at all till date.

The campaign ended 31 May, supposedly according to T&C, must get CB by 31 Aug.

But since gotten nothing, called HSBC on 1 Sept seeking clarification.
Was told they will get back to me in 3 working days.

Nothing. Not even a single call till now.

So after 3 working days i had lodged a report to their cust complaints team and cc to BNM.

if still no reply, official complaint to BNM shall follow.


just checking, anyone of us here getting any CB from HSBC cash sweep campaign? (Mar to May 2023)
