its for this HSBC CashSweep promo ended 31 May. (Mar to May 2023)
The campaign ended 31 May, supposedly according to T&C, must get CB by 31 Aug.
But HSBC did not give any CB at all even after September.

Hence i written an official complaint to HSBC complaints team and BNM, after their investigation,
initially was told that the cb is depleted during my spend, but i did not accept it, as i do the transaction within few secs at the 1st day of the week for the campaign.
So i ask them to recheck, after few weeks, they realized its their marketing error where
Tng transactions is not being counted for the campaign, so they will credit back RM100 to me.

Probably they also do for all other users with missing CB too.

yup. they can drag as long as they like but once they pass the final date to credit cb as per their own T&C, they are done.

overall experience with them is bad.

unlike PBB, which is so far the best,
usually will automatically credit the CB around 1 month+ after end of each month for their campaign

you need to complaint to their complaints team + cc to BNM.
only they will investigate for months and eventually give the CB that supposedly to give you automatically.

for my case,

i only managed to get CB after escalate to their cust resolution team + report to BNM,
whole process of complaining waited for few mths.

eventually,
they acknowledge their mistake of our Team did not take your top up as eligible transactions. This explains why the Cashback was not credited to your card account. We sincerely apologise for the inadvertence and any inconvenience this matter had caused you. Rest assured I have personally highlighted to the Team concerned and measures are in place to prevent recurrence.
In this instance, we hereby confirm you are entitled to receive Cashback, We will be crediting the Cashback to your Card no later than....



eventually got RM100 cash back

yes. the cust resolution initially giv the 1st come 1st serve and fully redeem standard reply.

i tell them it is impossible to be fully redeem as i done the transaction exactly few secs after 12.00.00am at the 1st day of their campaign week.

so i tell them to check thoroughly on the listing to confirm whether is it really fully redeemed at the first few secs at the 1st day of their campaign week and reply me on their final outcome, or is it due to an error where they should resolve it soonest possible and giv me the missing cb.

if the i did not agree to their final outcome, i shall revert to BNM for investigation.

giv them some hints that if they fail to settle this, i will report till BNM step in investigate their campaign mechanism legitimacy

For HSBC, they don't even follow their own T&C, i only lodge a complaint when i did not receive CB AFTER the maximum period stated in their T&C.

called in CS for rebate.
phone answer by cs immediately.

told to swipe 3x any trx online or offline and they will giv rebate to offset SST.

but some bank are known to not fulfilling their campaign cb.. whistling.gif whistling.gif

until you lodge an official complaint to authorities, only they reluctantly fulfilled it

my campaign is Cash Sweep Promo runs from 1 Mar 2023 to 31 May 2023.
my spend on March 2023.
waited till 31 Aug as per T&C 12 weeks max.

still not received, so i shoot to cust resolution & BNM.

initially they still want to tell you its 1st come 1st serve bla bla.

i told them impossible as i do targeted spending 12.00am on 1st day of campaign week.

don't tell me its full by that time. (as unlike RHB, this campaign hav way more quota)

in October only gotten cb back.

so yeah, a full 7 months for cb + efforts writing stories to complaint to cust resolution & BNM

the only good thing for this go called Live+ is
existing card holder can get RM150 acquisition cb.

deduct RM25 SST, still net cb RM125 provided you fulfilled the spending criteria

got once i got some missing campaign cashback, i email them to complaint officially.

they really did a thorough investigation and found out the problem.
they did admit mistake made by another team.
eventually i gotten RM50 missing campaign cashback.

that's why i never bothered to join their cashback campaign at all.
never gotten any cashback.

got once i am frustrated and report to their cust resolution team, after a while they only check and credit back the missing cash back to me and say they accidentally excluded my transaction for cash back, they stating they had fixed their so called system for cashback.

after that i decide to giv a 2nd try, and never receive any cash back again. doh.gif doh.gif

unlike Public bank, so far they r the best, you really can get cashback when you join their cb campaign based on the t&c.

Gotten a SMS informing me some scam transaction from Saudi Arab.
amount 1800 SAR.
immediately I login HSBC apps to block my card and call HSBC report, lodge dispute and send replacement card.

but shocked to see HSBC never block suspicious transaction like this.
usually other banks will block it 1st and ask us to confirm with CS.

Cs giv reason their bank is so called international bank, so they usually won't block international trx. doh.gif doh.gif

check closely if the transaction is posted,
HSBC requiring us to go their website and search for dispute form and submit it ourselves.

that's the reason i found their fraud prevention is not there, creating lots of inconvenience to us.
