Anyone got this SMS? Seems good deal, if they approved the limit increase without any spending.

RM0 HSBC Amanah: RM50 cashback could be yours when you apply for credit limit increase with latest income document. Reply C9 by 15Jan for call back. T&C apply

thanks for sharing the t&c. Look like this campaign was there since Jan 2019.

No string attach, just random cashback campaign to selected lucky customer. If keen, just apply & hopefully approved b4 31-Jan 2020

Yes. 2k spending for 8% eligibility is per within calendar month, NOT statement cycle.

Currently I used this card to reload rm200 to Grabpay & TnG ewallet, & rm1800 to Bigpay, and once a while the 4 grocery stores and petrol. Comes April this card is almost useless for me.
*
I started abandon this card for 8% petrol when e-Wallet now offer 10% instant cashback.

This is my priority of pump petrol:
1. Grab-Prestomall Petronas rm30 evoucher (pay rm20, reload Grabpay get 1000/2000 points)
2. Boost-Prestomall Petronas evoucher (paid with Prestopay reloaded with PrestoGC with >20% discount)
3. SCB JOP 15% CB.
4. HSBC 8% CB (as I said once a while when above not available, so far only once when my car was low on petrol n I pumped only rm16).

Moreover there r too many Ewallet promo on petrol that I have lost tracked which r still available.
*
Umm, look like PrestoMall have better return when comes to petrol.
Hardly go to Petronas due to I'm long time member of Bonus Link & recently taken Petron membership due to e-wallet cashback.

Maybe one day I should give a try for Petronas. hmm.gif hmm.gif hmm.gif

Some 1000 and some 2000 points for GrabPay. Guess it has something to do with your membership level?

1k = Silver member.

How about Gold & Platinum member?

So 12 swipes per year and it’s waived? Anyone can confirm because In first page Seems like not waived.
*
Yes. I can validated that. I managed to get waiver recently (posted in my Apr statement).
But I called them la, cuz it's not automatic.

They told me if I do 12 trnx per year, it will be automatic. Well, I only can validate this automation next year Mar 2021. Haha

Guys,  I use amanah card at giant amount RM 200 via Samsung pay. My issue is, my ewalet category has RM 30 cash back spending quota left while grocery category has RM 180 cash back spending quota left.  How do bank give cash back to me based on this transaction?

Is it bank will choose ewallet category for cash back regardless MCC code if I pay via Samsung pay? Even petrol or grocery?
*
I believe the cash back is based on platform you used to 'pay' using HSBC card. E.g TNG/GrabPay Wallet reload and pay grocery or petrol. Still counting as Wallet cashback.
I'm never use Samsung Pay before and doesn't how it works when use to pay grocery/petrol. But if similar work like FavePay, so I'll guess it will follow Wallet cashback.

Petrol or Grocery cashback means using CC to swipe their terminal directly, fall under Petrol/Grocery cashback.

The keyword on 'credit card-i transaction' & 'payment authorization transactions' may explain the doubt. Just my view on this.
