My Scenario: Within a couple of working days, I received 3 called from HSBC that to offer cash advance.  doh.gif  doh.gif

if you refused, then second question will be offer supplementary card  doh.gif
*
You think I don't, I do actually. laugh.gif
I receive their calls once almost every 2-3 working days offer the same thing as yours. doh.gif Luckily I let the CS offer first before I politely reject their calls, else I will miss the application for VS without documents. tongue.gif

Guys, I applied the HSBC Lazada 500 Promo..

Already received the SMS stating that my application is successful.

So, the credit card will be mailed with envelope letter to my house address right?

Approximately how many days I will see the letter in my letter box ya?

Or it is delivered by PosLaju that required signature.
*
Normal postage only. I got within a week in KL.

called in to cancel my visa plat .... after 3-4 days... got call from cc dept to offer Visa Signature ...zzzZz

anyone can enlighten me with more benefits of this card?
I check thru their web... other than 5 or 6x PPL entry for MY,SG,HK ... nothing much really attract me =S
*
I'm keeping the VS since more and more cards have taken away the PPL entitlement. Moreover it only requires one transaction per month for consecutive 12 months and will auto AF. I don't see any difficulty in retaining it, hence I will continue holding my VS.

ya...since citi premier take away changi PPL... I have to wait my flight at food court  blush.gif

miss changi PPL  Laksa and chicken rice
*
Ya lo, so just accept it. My Citi PremierMiles will be cancelled soon... They will not waive the AF since super low usage, I will miss the airport rides but well..

Having multiple cards for PPL is a good decision in my opinion.

guys...wanna ask if for HSBC...i was told that the annual fee can be waived... but i read the 1st post..looks like got issue to get annual fee waived...is this still the case? the HSBC agent told me usually can get annual waiver so no worries about that...
*
First post is no longer relevant. Moreover for cards like VS and Amanah have waiver criteria, so long you fulfill the condition I don't see why it's not.

www.hsbc.com.my --> Internet Banking

If I want to make online payment using credit card, I need to have a security device?
Any charges to own the security device?
*
No, you don't need any security device to use for HSBC credit cards. I receive TAC via SMS.

I am not receiving any TAC via SMS. I ONLY have credit card with HSBC.

I also have credit card with HSBC only. I paid Digi bill with MyDigi app with ease, receiving SMS for TAC.

How do you login? I choose login with passwords and it's 2FA type.

2 factor authentication?

My steps
1. www.hsbc.com.my
2. Locate Internet Banking on top right hand side.
3. Key in username
4. Login with Passwords (enter password and enter secondary password)

Thanks for your kind comment, but, basically
I am stuck with the screen that I have shared in Post #3970
*
I just tried and same as your problem. Anyway, it's not important for me because I pay directly in the merchant site. Looks like in order to pay with HSBC site, you need the device.

Why didn't you pay directly at the payee's site? unsure.gif

Good for you. smile.gif

I am not familiar by paying at payee site.
Most of the time I use directly at bank site cause I find it more convenient.

can share how to pay from payee site for
syabas
insurance (hla)
mobile prepaid (maxis, digi)
*
Syabas, HLA insurance I'm not sure because I don't pay for them.

For Maxis and Digi can pay via their app. Fast and easy.

Using MyMaxis and MyDigi app right?
*
Yes. I think for Hotlink, you can reload using Hotlink RED.

Last year I applied Amanah Plat just to get 0% cash installment but I haven't been spending a single cent with this card and have no intention to keep it. I intend to pay both 11th and 12th installment together and cancel my card. I think this is OK? I lazy want to wait till 12th month and see AF is charged to my card, so I need to call to waive AF and whatnot.

I will continue to keep the VS as it is more beneficial to me.

isn't it also give you one of the highest miles conversion rate for overseas spending and spending in local shopping mall?
*
Nope. I believe for miles conversion, nothing beats Maybank2Premier yet. Anyway, I'm not a fan of collecting airmiles, most of the time I combine my holiday with business trip and paid by company or I pay the difference if I extend for my own stay. Other time, I just pay for my own flight tickets.

If I want, I would have applied for M2P.

if i swipe once per month in a year, it is a auto waiver or we need to call for waive?

I don't see why you shouldn't as this is stated as waiver criteria for VS and Amanah cards.

Same here.
I'll rcv the SMS, with the amount, min. amount due and due date.
Once I've made payment, they'll send me another sms acknowledging that payment has been made.

Pity that they never email the monthly statement.
Have to login and download the statement
*
I usually just login via app, since my usage is fixed every month for HSBC cards, kinda can guess how much I will need to pay. tongue.gif
