All my gf's are young and refuse to do this type of things.  tongue.gif Have to get unties to do that and buy them lunch/dinner.  tongue.gif

Seriously I think SCB 4.5% deal is good. With OPR going to be the same or even lowered down, should grab this before it ends. I added some more eggs there just 5 days ago.  biggrin.gif
*
Ah Goat Sir got many young girl friends rclxms.gif
Ah Goat Sir obviously is young, handsome, strong & steady..

But when talking about money, sometimes even brother & sister also cannot be
trusted. I guess the only persons we can trust in this world are our parents, the
next are our son & daughter.

Yes, I agree SCB 4.5% is a great deal that we should not miss.
I also placed this 4.5% FD 4 days ago.. biggrin.gif

Just called Stanchart 03-77118888, the FD promo for 15mth at 4.5% is only for Islamic FD not conventional as stated earlier in this forum. Can anybody verify this? Thanks.
*
SCB Conventional 4.5% for 15 months is available; unless it meets the quota.
I just placed it last week.

The Stan chart help line may not know the detail.

Please take note that SCB Conventional FD cannot be placed in Saadiq (Islamic) branches.
It can only be placed in SCB conventional branches.

Such pain, quite unusual for a bank to commence FD only upon chq clearance.
*
It is Islamic FD; some more it can only be withdrawn on the next day of the maturity date.
So, if bring check, will lose at least 3 days interest.

I have the SCB debit card when I placed my 4.25% with SCB last year.
For this time 4.5% which I placed last week, SCB did not give me debit card.

*
No, no credit card.
No ATM card.
I just put RM 5 for each current account.
No, HSBC did not charge me fee.

HSBC gave me one small size (similar to SCB FD cert) of FD cert, and one
current account cert (similar to SCB FD cert).

But HSBC owes me 3 umbrellas. HSBC Leng Chai said will call me when
stocks come in.

RinggtPlus is offering free 20" luggage for OCBC FD signups, min 30K fresh fund  brows.gif

ringgit plus
*
Does anybody know the ringgit value of this 20" luggage from Ringgit Plus?

Let's say if put RM 30k in SCB and OCBC respectively:
SCB 4.5% for 15 months vs. OCBC 4.2% for 12 months:

SCB: RM 1350 interest
OCBC: RM 1260 interest

Difference: additional RM 90 for SCB, it is 15 months tenure with every 6 month interest hmm.gif

Ah Goat Sir,

This Luggage Bag promo has started since 26 Feb 2015, but too bad you did not register
with Ringgit Plus before you placed your FD with OCBC...

https://media.ringgitplus.com/creatives/c68...40_campaign.pdf

Maybe you can call Ringgit Plus to see if you are eligible to get the Luggage bag or not..?
A sweet Leng Lui from Ringgit Plus will answer to your call brows.gif
Good Luck..

Old man like young gf's !  tongue.gif

It is difficult to include children. Ever heard of children driving parent out of house after hse assigned to them ?  hmm.gif

So we both liked SCB's 4.5% !  drool.gif

Next week going to go for EPF self contribution !  biggrin.gif
*
Better to use bank counter to deposit to EPF self contribution account rather than
to use KWSP counter.

I deposited banker's check to KWSP counter on 24 Feb 2015, and it was only credited
to my EPF account on 5 March 2015 mad.gif

Yes, have to open a current account for min RM 5.00
No, no need to buy check book..

According to HSBC Leng Chai, we can close current account after 3 months matured date..

The value of the trolley bag should cost less than rm90. 20inch is very small trolley bag. If they give 24inch or 28inch trolley bag would be very nice...
*
Oh.. like that ah..?
But OCBC has RM 888 Ang Pow also.. hmm.gif

I think OCBC 12 months and SCB 15 months are the best now.
If look for short term, then can consider HSBC 5% for 3 months with free umbrella

I alerted you earlier that payment by a cheque to EPF will take 7 working days to clear, & 24/2 to 5/3 is 7 working days.
we've also established that payment by cash (but max. of RM10K, OTC @ EPF) or thru m2u only takes 1 working day to clear.

QUOTE(BboyDora @ Mar 10 2015, 12:54 PM)
I just started to work on my own.  How to do own contribution via bank counter?  Do I need to deal with bank 1st or kwsp?

(Step 1) Print out and fill up KWSP 6A (1) - Caruman Sendiri from this link:
http://www.kwsp.gov.my/portal/ms/web/kwsp/...er/all-epf-form

(Step 2) Go to one of the banks and fill up one more KWSP form provided from bank:
(1) Public Bank
(2) May Bank
(3) RHB Bank
(4) CIMB Bank

(Step 3) To maximize your profit, make sure your cash/check deposit to your EPF account
can be cleared before the month end.

Either to deal with bank or KWSP is also can.
But deal with bank is better in order to get your payment cleared faster.

Max contribution is RM 60k per year
Min is RM 50 per deposit.
Deposit must be even number, cannot deposit like RM 50.50

Can use KWSP 6A (1) to make self contribution until 75 years old.

Ah Goat Sir,

After you registered with Ringgit Plus and after placed your FD, then you'd better to
email the attachment file of your FD cert to Ringgit Plus to make sure Ringgit Plus
will not miss your participation of the gift campaign.

So only entitle for the contest but not the luggage bag.

Unless I made another placement in OCBC.  cry.gif

Oh.. I mean if anything to deal with Ringgit Plus about to claim a gift from placing FD,
it is better to email FD cert as proof. This is what I did last time. sad.gif

My JustOne account has zero balance from the 1st day.

What is your renewal instruction for the FD ? Not sure if it has anything to do with the issue of 6 monthly interest.

Mine is:
(2) Renew principal at prevailing rate for same term, credit interest to same currency account number

Ah Boom, is your 6 monthly interest due or will be later ?  hmm.gif
*
Mine is Instruction 3.

We placed SCB FD on the same day, you forgot..? doh.gif
Our 6 monthly interest should be credited on this Thursday -- 19 March

About HSBC Advance, HSBC Leng Chai said we need to maintain min RM 30K in HSBC Advance,
otherwise we will be charged RM 10 per month.

But the solution is we can just closed FD account and current account when FD is matured.
