I went UOB last week to uplift FD and they only issue Banker's cheque (cost RM2.65) unless you have existing saving or current account.

I was charged RM2.65 for banker's cheque. They don't accept IBG unless I have a saving or current account.

For SC 4.5% 15M, do you what's the frequency they will give us the interest?

Since bbgoat & co from Penang got hampers from Bank Rakyat I decided to try my luck today in PJ.

Bank Call centres usually do not have update FD info, but I think this excepts OCBC call cantre.

I actually thick face  and called the branch to inquire when the usual letter to collect the hamper never arrive. That time, the manager invited us to collect it. Just a normal hamper compared to brands essense of chicken  the previous year but okay-lah. Didn't call anymore the next year onwards. Invitation to gathering and makan makan also stopped so I conclude that they have raised the cut-off amount 

Ah Sir Ah Goat & Double Magic, I just called to KWSP, the operator (quite friendly) said:
if submit check to self contribution account, it will take within 7 days to clear the check,
and if submit cash, it will take within 3 days to "clear" the cash.

Double Magic is right, we will get 1 day interest for the month that we submit payment,
then next month will get full month interest. 

Do it over the counter easier n faster.
Did it this year for the second time only for 2 account.

RM60k self contribution looks good if you use a cheque but it takes 7 working days to "clear"...

If cash payment is made over the counter, there's a RM5K daily limit but the "clearance" is the next working day; similarly for maybank2u.

I wonder if the RM5K cash daily limit can be sidestepped by paying RM5K cash OTC, RM5K through cimbclicks, another RM5K through maybank2u, another RM5K through citibank... on the same day... 

Just use Maybank2u. The transaction limit is RM5K each but there is no daily limit. Just repeat the transaction 12 times and you will have yr RM60K self contribution done on the same day, no need to go personally to EPF, no need to issue cheque and no GIRO fees either 

Last year I issued an MBB chq of more than RM50K for my EPF a/c and it was cleared, no question asked. Maybe the RM5K chq limit was years ago?

I'll stick with m2u & have just done 7 rounds of the RM5K EPF transfers already...
