I'm all about P/E (compare to a company's peers) and dividend yield

I see.. Is that it?
Do you use Discounted Cash Flow Analysis?

1. I no sifu
2. P/E comparison
3. Dividend yield
4. Strength (as I perceive it to be) of its brands/businesses, the qualitative side of things

Assuming super paranoia mood.

My 1-month FD giving 3.55% (effective rate about 3.6%) but CMF is already giving 3.71%…

What’s the only reason to NOT move?

PIDM? All hell break loose? Putting too much money with FSM? Laziness?
*
UOB offers 3.85 for 3 months, so the 3.6% is not really a big deal if you have more than 10k & dont mind the 3 mths term hmm.gif

I tried DCFA before, but found it impractical, as we have to make many assumptions. Many of those assumptions will eventually turn out to be wrong. Well, maybe DCFA is more suitable for stable companies which don't change much.

PEG? Cash in hand?

OK, looking to open an FSM account, as I can't find cheap stocks in Bursa.
- what documents required?
- what other thing to be aware of?

PEG, yes. Cash and gearing level too, but just glance thru, didn't do detailed analysis.

Go FSM website click register new account.
Fill up form online, print it out and sign.
E-mail/fax/post the signed form + photocopy of your IC.
That's all.
