QUOTE(motherker @ Jan 25 2015, 11:33 AM) Dear ICE sifus, 1st. Why would you choose a head unit that has only 2 RCA output if you have intention to go 4 channels? There are proper crossovered head unit that came with 4 or even 6 RCA output at decent price.i recently upgraded my car audio and experienced a weird problem. i have a headunit with 2 RCA outputs plugged into my 4ch amp. my front component speakers are powered by the amp and the rear speakers are powered by headunit. sub wire has already been routed to the back, but i havent fixed a sub yet. when i start my engine, my tweeters especially emit a buzzing noise even when volume is turned to 0. i went back to the accessories shop and he used a rca 1 to 2 converted and plugged it into my 4ch amp and it made the noise disappear totally. my concern is that, wouldn't the converter degrade audio quality as its being split to 2? and i wouldnt be able to control sub level from my headunit cause its using the same rca to power my front full range speakers.. sifus pls advice 2nd. RCA splitter wil divide the signal strength into 1/2. If you have already plonk a 2 RCA head unit, the only remedy to this is getting yourself a digital active cross over / pre-amp equalizer. These Xovers/preamps will be able to remodulate your RCA signals. Decision to choose between Xover or Preamp are usually user preference depending. I personally prefer Xover, which will remain majority of the sound tuning back to headunit. If your headunit is already giving good signals and has very good preset equalizers built in, then don't waste it. Xover will only split signals, filter low pass/hi pass for the amplifier to grid the front/rear/subs. Whereas a preamp function more like an equalizer, but came with the function of Xover, which will grid the front/rear/subs accordingly for the amps. You can manually adjust the sound frequency on each and every different region, fine tune the sound you like to PICTURE it in your car. By closing your eyes, you'll be able to use your ear to VISUALIZE the environment. But ofcourse, it takes a lot of skill and elf ears to tune such environment for your hearing pleasure. Cross over ![]() Preamps ![]() 3rd. Always remember, when you use amp for either front/rear grid, always REMOVE head unit output. Don't ask me why, as soon as you remove the head unit output speakers, you'll find peace for your ear. Either all amps output, or all HU outputs. Do not mix them together, or the sound grid will sound like supermarket announcement speakers |

QUOTE(motherker @ Jan 25 2015, 02:38 PM) So, you have now using the 4 channel as 3 channel? Front speakers are powered by the 2 channels from the the amp, the subwoofer are also powered by the 1 channel bridged from the amp? Whilst you leave the rear speakers running with your head unit? You found there's whining aeroplane sound from the front tweeters, so your accessories fler rewire the amp output to the back speakers, and use the head unit output to power your front grid. Is that what you mean? |

QUOTE(motherker @ Jan 25 2015, 08:13 PM) yes bro. however the wire for the sub is not connected to anything yet, im still waiting for the arrival of my sub. So, question back to, what head unit are you using? Was cheap /////ALINE? Or /////ALPINE? Was it PIODEER or PIONEER? Was the it KICKED or KICKER? Usually, even if it's cekai brand player also wouldn't make aeroplane noise. But there is a possibility that the cekai head unit does not have noise suppressor built in, hence it send all the static noises to your RCA output. If not the HU, then it's the Amp wiring. Not enough grounding? But the funny part is, why RCA A for the front has no static, whilst the RCA B for the back has static noise? im not sure if its a whine, its more like a buzzing sound. only when engine is on. i think it follows the rpm too. (campro noisy if i rev it and overpowers the buzzing noise) nope, my headunit has rca A for front and rca b for rear/subwoofer he wired the rca A for all 4 ch to the amp. using a y shaped cable that splits 1 rca source to two. this makes me cant control subwoofer levels from headunit cause eg: increase of bass will increase all speakers including my door speakers. if he were to connect the rca B separately, the buzzing noise is back. idk whats wrong So, there's a good chance that your head unit RCA B module got plobrem liao. Still got woranti mou? Might as well force the shop change another unit for you lar. Pay money buy rubbish can't utilize all the RCAs, might as well buy a 2 channel output system Good luck lar, unable to help you. Unless you change shop come see me and let me molest your car lar. What went wrong also dunno. Whether wayaring got plobrem also dunno. |

QUOTE(tysmiracle @ Jan 28 2015, 02:30 PM) That person change for me don't know what minixcity, I'm really worry that it doesn't suit, coz is like the brake pad didn't fully use the brake disc Shawie and GaGa berakpad totally compatible. The piktar u posted clearly explained that either the pad were not properly bedded in, or your disc is wearing off. |

QUOTE(wankel @ Jan 28 2015, 02:33 PM) Gentle enough but words are cheap and meaningless. I suppose I was trying to say if you drive along and require an emergency stop then the pads I used are brilliant, and probably every other dirt cheap set are just as good, now if you decide you want to race around Bathurst (which has the 12 hour race coming the following weekend complete hopefully with a Lotus competing) or Sepang then fade may very well render the cheap pads a fail, however the racing pads you'd love to have on the track can be a real b**** on the road. Lesson is don't put your trust in paying more for better, even for some pads they'll wear the hell out of the disc rotor, so I put my faith in bargain basement jobs as they give me a feeling they'll be gentle on the rotors. I like ur style I'm not in the least interested in pad life, with my driving even cardboard pads would last a while. |
