Does anybody keep their boxes for cameras/lenses/accessories?
I'm wondering because I do keep, but I am thinking of recycling them for those out of warranty since I don't intend to sell them. (I'll take out the important bits in the boxes.)
yes i do. but i can't compare with you considering the vast amount of lenses and cameras you have
but it's still not a curse what, that one is your setting wrong.
i would liken "curse" to something like the lens is so sharp, it's making you do more work when it comes to post-processing because it's too detailed.
I'm actually in love with such a cursed lens... The old Tamron 90mm 72B Adaptall macro. Too sharp for portrait... too hard to focus for macro...
But I STILL WANT ONE!
And boxes, yeah I keep em... if I buy first hand. Normally I buy second hand and they usually don't... which annoys me somewhat. So yeah, keeping boxes for second hand value is a good practice IMHO.
But, like bro zstan said, I don't have prolly even 1/3 of the lenses you have so I can't imagine how the boxes situation with you will be like.
That said, if you don't plan to sell em off, why keep the boxes?

I've kept all boxes of my every electronic purchases, its an addiction and satisfaction when looking at pile of them arranged nicely
Keep them, store it up some place in case you wish to sell off. If it takes up too much space then pack the contents into smaller packages and fold up the card board.
What bag should I search to fit and protect Sony A6000? Brand? Estimated price? can fit long zoom lens, flash n other accessories. And can bring around to all places without much awkward looking bag.

I'm using Lowepro stuff. Fits my needs better without costing too much. I have the Versapack if I *need* to carry *everything* in one bag, and the Passport Sling III for normal less conspicuous everyday carry.
Unfortunately, Lowepro is sorta well known as a camera bag manufacturer, so it's kinda more prone to theft (but it's still much better that a bag that says "Nikon" or "Canon" or in our case, "Sony")... but the newer models have much less by the way of obvious logos so it's much less of a problem.
But yeah, bags are probably the most subjective part of owning a camera (next to straps lol). You really need to go test them to know if you like them.
Best place to do this IMHO is at either YL PJ or YL Pudu - they have a wide range of bags from many brands, including the very drool worthy Mindshift Rotation; and they don't mind you testing their stuff kaw kaw before buying.

a sealed box lenses unit is sealed with white colour sticker with sony logo, instead of silver sticker, right?
i believe everyone who use sony camera & lenses are familiar of it. i'm sure of there's white sticker with sony logo are sealed on top, or side of the box, meanwhile bottom of the box is sealed with silver sticker, which believed is pre-printed with serial number

My Billingham It is quite spendy but never regretted! nice looking, weatherproofing, very nice build quality, and it can fit all my stuff in 1 bag! http://www.billingham.co.uk/hadley-pro.html
@albnok, have u tested Minolta MD 50/1.4 on A7?? i am wondering if the MD mount will cause any vignetting on our e-mount..
Nope. I can't get the same vignetting result since my A7S is somehow better than the A7/A7R when it comes to vignetting with old lenses. Plus the only stuff I have is in A-mount and my only adapters are the LA-EA1 and LA-EA4. (Ironically, I have a Seagull 50mm F1.8 MD mount...)
wow you power collector. all old goodies like A900 and A99 (ok this one not too old) are still around.
This picture's theme was full-frame with 50mm lenses. There's more.
I kept cameras based on the premise of having at least 1 backup for professional work. So the A900/A99 is one 24-megapixel pair. The A99/A7S is a video pair. The X300 is in the picture because it has a 50mm on it, and my Minolta Dynax 7, a A-mount film SLR, is not in the picture because my only 2 A-mount 50mm lenses are already on bodies. The NEX-5 is not in it because it's not full-frame, plus it got downgraded from being video backup since I made it shoot infrared. I also have an infrared camera backup, but that's another story...
Now the A900 really is for my unborn kids to look at, as I explain how it works, and they'll look at it in wonderment as we today look and wonder how rangefinders/TLRs/medium format backs work. The A99 will probably be a blip in camera history, too. The next leap should be liquid lenses!
