MyBytes close down? I think Machines rule KV now and Macstudio for KL.
*
Well, MyBytes were initially at the Ground Floor lot just behind the escalator where the stage is (I definitely remember them as I bought loads of accessories, when I was still using my iPod touch 5). They then moved to Level 1, in a much smaller lot, before I saw their FB posting mentioning about their last day of trading on October 25, 2014.

And coincidentally, several other tenants have also closed shop in Tropicana City. Who knows, if the management plans to draw in another Apple Store, why not Switch? They don't have a presence in PJ other than the KDU Campus Center, and Trop City is also one of the few "major" malls not to have an Apple Store, at present! rclxms.gif

Mac Studio is big in KL, for sure, with two in Low Yat Plaza alone. But they have also entered PJ with two nice outlets, one each in Paradigm Mall and the Live! store in Jaya SC. I especially like the Jaya one, as it is more lifestyle oriented and they have loads of cool headphones as well as iPhone dock speakers to play with! laugh.gif

Service wise MacStudio is ok right? I like to buy stuff there because MacStudio is less crowded however their store is no where near my area, force to buy from Machines instead  doh.gif
*
Well, I bought an iPhone car charger from Mac Studio Live! in Jaya SC and the guy who served me was not too bad. He handled my queries well and also gave me some good recommendations, in order to help me decide on which charger to get.

Where are you staying, Xirality, if you don't mind me asking?

Sunway area. Nearest macstudio would be paradigm I guess.
*
For Sunway, the nearest resellers for you are the Machines in Sunway Pyramid / Empire or that big Apple Store in Subang Parade, the one next to TGI Friday's (what is it called, by the way?).

And yeah, the closest Mac Studio to you is indeed the one at Paradigm Mall! thumbup.gif

I went to buy iPad 12W charger for my iPhone 6 plus, but was informed by the staff that it is not recommended to charge iPhone 6.

However, I have done some research from internet, both iPhone 6 and 6 plus support!

So I guess, sometime the staffs are not trained into such detail. In fact, many of SC are not using iPhone.
*
What does the staff mean by "not recommended to charge iPhone 6"? I'm guessing he/she must be saying that it's not good to use an iPad charger to charge the iPhone, am I correct? biggrin.gif

And yeah, I have seen many Apple Store staff using Samsung phones, even if they are working with a retailer of the company that makes iPhones. How ironic! laugh.gif

An official Apple retail store from Apple itself is what we needed the most.

none of the Apple reseller in Malaysia can match the top-notch quality kind of service provided by Apple.
*
I wish the real Apple Store will open here too! biggrin.gif

If they really do, one perfect place with the best crowds is the extension to Pavilion, or even in Avenue K (with their logo on the nice glassy facade of that mall)! rclxms.gif

I cannot recall, bought it when I was in Beijing. It was through Xiaomi official site on Tmall. I think RMB 99?

Wow, very affordable price! Should be around MYR55+, based on today's exchange rate? rclxms.gif

I still have & daily use ip4,4S,5 & 5S. So far only my ip4 needs the home button replacement, infact i already replaced it 3 times. Battery too, replaced 3 times for that ip4. For other iphone versions that i have as stated above (ip2 & 3G i still keep it but didnt use anymore), so far no need for any corrective action...

Never fond to use the 'distractive' assistive touch. So besides ip4, the rest iphone version home button didnt have such problem. At least for me smile.gif
*
Yeah, I do agree the assistive touch really is a distraction, especially when you are playing games or using WhatsApp (it shoots to the top-left corner and you have to swipe the button back down, when you want to go "back" to the previous screen). shakehead.gif

That's why I prefer to use the home button as well, and only using the assistive touch when necessary! thumbup.gif

What about the lifestyle-oriented Mac Studio Live! in Jaya Shopping Center, Section 14? Maybe you can find what you want there? icon_idea.gif

I'm thinking of heading to that shop after work as well (my office is only 5-10 minutes from Section 14), to find a better transparent case than the Air Jacket I'm using now! rclxms.gif

I never trust "90% like original" sellers, hehehe...

But you can't seriously be complaining about something that costs under RM 5.00?
*
Depends... When I was using an iPod touch, several years back, I bought a cheap wall charger from either Digital Mall or Low Yat Plaza (can't remember where exactly). It worked fine, the previous time I used it.

But on that particular day, when I plugged it into the socket to charge the iPod, the bugger actually "blew" in front of me, when switching it on! Thankfully I wasn't electrocuted although the charger had a small black burnt mark and at that same time, the electricity at home tripped (no one was in except me). shakehead.gif

Since then, I have stayed away from such "cheapo" chargers and stuck to either the stock Apple ones or from reliable third-party manufacturers! thumbup.gif

This is from my first full cycle charge on Sunday night since taking the phone on Saturday. To clarify, I did plug it to sync and backup last night for about 10 minutes or so.

I will never look at smartphone battery life the same way again.

[attachmentid=4299800]

Wow, that's one heck of a long battery life!

I need to give mine a shot tomorrow and drain the iPhone all the way to sub-20% battery, before doing a full charge. Then I can see how long it can last on that single charge! thumbup.gif

My battery has gone into 6 hours at a 73% battery life balance. Although it's not wholly accurate as my car (Nissan Teana) has an iPhone auxiliary system that charges the phone when plugged in to play music.

Still, even when I use my phone for Internet access, playing music, playing games, and taking photos, such a battery life duration is not too bad!

My battery is now at 31% and considering I didn't connect the iPhone to my car's auxiliary slot, the usage lasted 8 hours and 54 minutes. biggrin.gif

Waiting and see how long the iPhone will last until it hits the "bare minimum" threshold of 20%! laugh.gif

You guys battery usage all seem so terror. Mine 4 hours usage only already at 60%
But mayb it is because of my Whatsapp, 35% of my battery usage is whatsapp sweat.gif
*
Well, Google+ is actually both a high battery and 3G drainer. It's because of my current low 3G balance that made me cut my usage of Google+!

Even games like Asphalt 8 and Football Manager are big-time battery drainers, especially if I play for hours on end, haha! laugh.gif

The battery life of my iPhone 6 has dropped to 2%, while playing Football Manager in the office and as such, I decided to get it charged.

And up to the 2% mark, the iPhone lasted 10 hours and 20 minutes, with only one "halfway" charge using the Nissan Teana's auxiliary cable!

Not bad, that's all I can say!

This is very excellent considering yours is 6 but not 6 plus. Can say already out perform my battery life on the 6 plus. ==. Any tweaks you did?
*
Well, I only connected the iPhone once to the auxiliary cable in the Nissan Teana, which charged the phone for the short time that I was driving to my client's place. And that's pretty much it, for the 10+ hours! rclxms.gif

QUOTE(mannquin @ Jan 17 2015, 11:16 AM)
Just got my iPhone 6 plus replacement yesterday. I'm a happy customer  biggrin.gif. My friend was there and I told her it looks brand new. Since the phone just got released in the market there's a high chance that the replacement set isn't refurbished and it might be brand new. But the customer service rep there insisted that it's a refurbished set. He doesn't have to say such thing to burst my bubble yea stupid I know. I'll stay optimistic and think of it as a new phone. Now using it with a cheapo tempered glass I bought off eBay and a black Spigen ultra hybrid. The color contrast makes my gold iPhone looks damn good I tell you
*
Well, my previous iPhone 5 was also a refurbished set and yet it worked like it's brand new. So put your worries aside and we can safely assume your 6+ is functioning as a new phone as well! rclxms.gif
