one word...... INCREDIBLE....

this movie is like nothing else i had seen b4 so far......it's violence but at the same time beautiful......perfectly directed......

words are too hard to define it......go watch it........

i watched in sunway pyramid.......and after the movie ended......the audiences inside the cinema clapped their hands......no doubt this is a great movie and achievement that deserve an applause.....

You guys didn't find the constant slow-mo fights all a tad similar and repetitive? 300 had more slow-mo than all 3 of The Matrix films combined. In fact if it were in real-time I bet the runtime would be only 1 hour. laugh.gif

i believe Zack Snyder was doing the slow-mo to replicate the frames from the pages of the comic book that depict the battle scenes, it was interesting and I didn't find it too repetitive

Just came back from watching it,I had very great expectations for the film seeing how everyones saying its good and all and it turns out it was just ok,Agreed with what quickfire said, the slow mo was repetitive. The fight scene wasn't much of an awe with the exception when leonidas fought the abomanation. Jawdropping cinematography though.

7/10

the slow mo is wat makes the fighting scenes interesting and nice to watch....i dun feel it's repetitive......imagine it without the slow mo effect.....they won't look that nice anymore......the slow mo allow us to see the every small details of creativity and artistic imagination of the director......

personally i think the slow mo has been perfectly used.......

I totally agree with you here. I think this is what sets 300 apart from the other typical war movies and I really loved the effect. Honestly I don't really feel the slow mo's were over-used, just nice nod.gif

It was a friday night. Just ended a shitty week of work. I walked into the theaters, wanting a movie with lots of blood, gore and heroics of the past only heard of from midvwives.

Glad to say, I got what i wanted. And more. =)

I was fearing that this movie would suffer from being overhyped, so i only walked in wishing to be entertained, and entertain it did.

just saw it. 2 things just did not cut it for me:

1) the lousy music. if only they got someone famous to do it. look at what Howard Shore did for LOTR or Hanz Zimmer for Gladiator.
2) David Wenham as a Spartan. he looks too goofy to be taken seriously. i keep getting reminded of his dorky character in Van Helsing laugh.gif

overall, it was an ok movie only la. the visuals were amazing, no doubt but it still felt like it lacked something.
