It will almost certainly be banned here la. Just look at Sin City. BTW Sin City 2 is coming out this year too. Personally I'm anticipating SC2 more.

I heard there are plenty of nudies, both female and male.
But if it is true no violence will be cut, then I'll see this in theaters for sure. |

I skipped class today to watch it in midvalley at 11am. It was ok... good but ultimately disappointing. I'll write when I reach home.

The Good: Some awesome fights. Truly excellent visuals.
The Bad: Feels hollow emotionally, too much shouting from Leonidas, cliched dialogue, repetitive fight scenes, and too much slow-mo. The ugly: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « 7.5/10. Different movies, but Sin City owns this. This post has been edited by QuickFire: Mar 9 2007, 06:53 PM |

Oh and give credit to our censors. No violence was cut. Awesome.
One thing I forgot to mention was the blood. It's so videogame-ish blood. The first time you see it it's cool... but then the blood just disappears on screen... like how the blood in games just magically disappear. This is fake fake blood. I prefer the fake real blood in other movies. |

QUOTE(lamely_named @ Mar 9 2007, 09:22 PM) so it a single sentence. Good movie, most of my friends loved it. Depends on you... but I recommend that every guy should watch it at least once, just for the visual fest. is this a good ... medium or .... lauzy movie? I have too much hope for this movie, I'm afraid of dissapointment. QUOTE(cocklea @ Mar 9 2007, 09:33 PM) I liked Sin City's blood better! That was cool! |

You guys didn't find the constant slow-mo fights all a tad similar and repetitive? 300 had more slow-mo than all 3 of The Matrix films combined. In fact if it were in real-time I bet the runtime would be only 1 hour.

QUOTE(BurgaFlippinMan @ Mar 14 2007, 01:25 PM) It also has my least favorite trick, the shot which starts in normal speed, goes into super slow mo, then ramps back to normal speed. Lovely in trailers and clips, but always feels cheap in the movie proper. Reminded me of Die Another Day... though its much less annoying here, Personally, the most beautiful part was the spear's shadow gliding on the stairs. I dont know why but I found it very nice. |

QUOTE(GhettoSuperstar @ Mar 19 2007, 06:43 PM) I'm not sure im following you here. Whats wrong with the oracle in The Matrix? Why would a old woman in the place of a young half naked girl make it "...then we got no movie to see liao" ? The films where you expect to see young naked girls are called porn. You dont get what he means. Wat he wants to say is:Never said that the scene was unnecessary tho. I said it was disturbing. The same way Leonidas found it disturbing. Im just surprised at the approval of a lot of the posters here, and how some make it out to be the highlight of the show. Maybe i shouldnt be surprised. Pre-adolescent with raging hormones and all that. If the oracle in 300 had been the one from The Matrix, she would have actually looked wise and knowledgeable (which is not what the film wants to portray her as), and Leonidas might have believed in her after all and not go into battle. They chose a young, hot, naked girl surrounded by dirty priests to portray a society overly reliant upon those so-called 'priests'. They were shown to be corrupt, sex-crazy fiends. Leonidas knew they were full of shit and this was why he insisted on going into battle. |
