Big possibility from weather sheet if happen only after rain or car wash

I changed my door trim rubber, and as many has said the original wasn't deteriorated at all, was a big regret on spending on that. It has not helped in eliminating water leaks during heavy rain at all. Since you've mentioned, which part is the weather sheet? Got pictures? Is it the 1 between the window gap? The window guide rubber seal? The rubber surrounding the door? Or the rubber door trim surrounding the door frame except the side seals?

Hmm... Can't remember if popular 1 roll is wide enough to cover the panel or not.
Can... But make sure your glue can withstand the relentless Malaysia's weather. laugh.gif

yes, did that on my hatchback few months ago. using 10 year old book wrapper, 2 pieces to make it covered upper and lower.
most important thing is after finish, use garden hose spray water from outside window, see thoroughly to ensure no more water leak. sometime a tiny drop by drop still can go in and causes your carpet flooding.

Thanks guys. Gotta give it a shot

This is a rather interesting story to share. For your information my car is persona aeroback, so I can't use key to open boot. On the other hand, my neighbor though, do own a persona. The story began:

Last week morning, as I ready to go to work, my neighbor was standing behind his persona scratching his head. I walked over wanted to lend a helping hand in case if there's anything I can do, and found his persona boot got prai 1/2 open with a big dent at the side. Looks like someone got no key and used a crawbar to force it open. Now that he wanted to open but can't bcoz the boot is senget and the lock got stuck. He lost his laptop. Nothing much I can do but to offer him a body shop to get it fixed. Yesterday night saw his car already back to hensem look with a new trunk and new paint. He spar the bumper together as well.

This morning, saw him facepalming behind the car and looks extremely devastating. I walked over kepoh and see, the boot got praised open again!!! This time, the tail lamp was broken too!!! And, the boot was praied opened so big until I can see inside effortlessly. There was a laptop bag inside. He said, the thief came back & return his laptop! doh.gif

QUOTE(szaku89 @ Oct 30 2015, 09:52 AM)
What a topkek story!! The cost of repairing twice the car boot and paint job easily cost him the laptop's price right. Approximately a 2k laptop.
*
Silly right. I almost blast into laughter as he mentioned the thief returned his laptop, but seemingly improper and supposed to show sympathy instead. But it's indeed a sad case and wouldn't know why the thief came back and prai his car again just to put back the craptop. No he's a mister nice guy, don't think it's people trying to revenge on him. If this is a prank, seriously it's just way too much for him to take sad.gif

Would have taken a picture of the incident, but hesitated to do so.

QUOTE(voscar @ Oct 30 2015, 10:36 AM)
so owning hatchback without the keyhole is definitely safer? as it's the original intention of proton to made it without keyhole...
*
No I don't think so. If I'm a thief knowing there's a worthy piece in the trunk, I'd rather disable the alarm(trust me there's a huge flaw in our anti theft system and it's easy to bypass, but I'd rather keep it secret), smash the window and open the trunk would be easier for me.

For the no keyhole lock matter, the locking mechanism is at the same placement be it aeroback/saloon. The stewpiak thief would have prai my kar the same way regardless if there's a keyhold. Let's not forget, my aeroback got no keyhole, in the event of kabel snapped, then https://www.hailat.org.id

guys, simple question to ask. why did the proton branch sc & sc agents didnt give the service materials packaging to customer (bottles, boxes etc..) unlike any other car manufacturer (eg: toyota and honda)

i scared got con like said change air filer but then only tembak angin or said change spark plug but not done.

i have ask this to proton careline but they siad its their normal procedure. what the..
*
Bcoz the cheapjing Plotong doesn't even got the bottle as they pam direkly from the barrel

You may insist for the old air filter. However, that doesn't proof that they changed because they can still blow your old filter, then pick 1 up from the trash bin and give the rubbish to you said already changed filter, unless you open the box and check before you leave the service bay. Same thing can happen to sepak berak. Even that, you already made payment and sign off the "kolek kar" paper. Do u know after you make payment, even if you finds out they broke your headlamps also they no need to replace for you as they can say before you send the car in ady broken whistling.gif

i've service two times already at the damansara damai proton sc agent. but i dont believe them 100%. because both time specifically ive ask for the box and bottles. but none are given. though they talk really nice and all, but well im used to be grease-monkey with my motorcycles, so when i cant see my car getting serviced/change part, its really not that satisfying. no communication whatsoever with the foreman. they do job. u give money. the end.

and i know majority foreman lies/steals  rolleyes.gif

Get the hell out of SC once warranty finishes. They're knows to the be the vampire, like a money sucking machine.

I get to know a foreman which is working full time in a established workshop which services protons and Nissan cars. He do part time after working hours in his house. He is knowledgable and experienced. Previously my mom's wira experienced some problems which could not be identified by other foremans, end up he had settled the problem.

On top of that it's cheaper lol, cheap and quality workmanship.

Are you sure removal of the IAFM actuator is full time short? As far as I know, the IAFM short runners are shut by the actuator from 0~4krpm whistling.gif Hence, I'd guess disconnecting actuator are using LONG runners all time whistling.gif By default, this is called IAFM patah(for damaged IAFM term). We have well known rosaked IAFM representative from GaGa thread, went for dyno only get 60+whp damn tulan. I myself, also, after rosaked only get 70+whp doh.gif Now totally disabled, I think left probably less then 60whp(as the short runner has been blocked by default) sad.gif But the good thing is, the gas pedal feeling feels more real, rather then got the press remote control car accelerator button feeling while driving.

Video recorded before the IAFM fully rosaked last year

Normal diskonek very easy nia, just detach the IAFM actuator socket gaodim. For fully disable IAFM, need to cut off the actuator from the IAFM valve, irreversible like mine laugh.gif

After remove the IAFM actuator, you can manually turn it to long or short. You just need to turn to short 1. And put something to stuck it, So, it wont move back to the long one.
I got 100whp before disabled it.
*
Mine is S4PE 1.3, on a Plotong GaGa. Besides, the IAFM valve ady patah, so I got no choice but to jam it on the long runner already. And yes, S4PH IAFM on stock form produces 100+whp on most dyno machine depending on load. kennywee92?

QUOTE(short_tounge @ Nov 7 2015, 02:11 PM)
should have done sigh  sweat.gif  i check back under the hood just to see whether there's proof for any replacement/servicing.

oil thingy sure cannot check one. so far just checked air filter is new. and planning to check again whether they really service the throttle body.
