I recently moved my R1700BT from PC table to another room, from previously about 1 meter apart to now about 3 meter apart.
Mindblown! The little speaker can sound so much better when given space.

im researching MCR612 which the japs promoting new function parallel bridge mode
when refer to service manual, every generation of Melody series (MCR) are using 2pcs of TAS5124DKD (each 2x60w) where newer one came with better PWM controller.

so theorically bridge mode can go near 2x100w, unless factory limiting them from power supply sleep.gif

this set quite directional. i put in room & facing front gate = not loud behind or beside them.

i got tried bung insert rear port. not effective.
bung put front port, changed a bit (unsure boom weaker or same)
after a few hour the bung pushed out a bit by itself.

ok i listen again (just fully awake). bung able reduced deep bass especially front port. mid bass become obvious.
if block front & rear bung, mid bass become boom (also annoying).

actually solution also easy. move further away from wall (my next step) or volume down tongue.gif

If use 753 won't have such 1st class rich bass problem, because the bass response is weaker on 753, haha.

want to ask... worth to buy old model SR6008 or not for 2 channel stereo setup? is the famous Audyssey room calibration applicable for 2 channel stereo? was considering a change from my current onkyo A-9010 integrated amplifier so I can hook-up HDMI, FM radio, internet radio etc.

hmm, now survey got saw Denon X1500H and X1600H within my budget range, not sure will join D or M family, haha...
sifu, do you think audyssey calibration is hype or really good accuracy? very good improvement over 100Hz and 10kHz manual adjusted tone control knob?

walao today just saw you selling things at garage sell and carousell. cool2.gif

x1500h, x1600h the watt not that high.
audyssey process finer tune in eq band compared to own hand tune.
like example you mention bass & treble knob.

even better part is audyssey eq boost according to master volume.
as u turn louder = it will reduce eq boost, so its always balance between bass, mid, treble.

i wants to go for gold serie ㅠㅠ

You going to pull a rabbit for a more powerful amplifier; or going to use melody steamer trying magic to push the gold serie for full potential? Haha

It is working very good, never repair/service since I bought it in 2009.

Some people said older stuff seem to have better quality.
