QUOTE(CwwKiT @ Jan 3 2015, 08:04 PM) Guys , any idea how hard is it to change a switch? Look for whitefiredragon videos on youtube or other desoldering switch guide on youtube. You'll have to desolder the LED as well. Accidentally broke mine :/ » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Or send it to someone |

EHLO guys~ new to this MKB club and also to this Lowyat Forum thingi...
I'm planning to buy a MKB but I'm quite out of budget right now... anyone can suggest me a MKB that's reliable and also cheap? Currently my budget below RM 250. I don't mind the normal looking KB but I do prefer the backlit LED KB. So please do poison me with all those KBs. Thank kiu. Replies are much appreciated!!! From poor KB freak, Derick |

QUOTE(cloud8992 @ Jan 4 2015, 04:16 PM) guys want to ask is there much difference between plate mount and pcb mouth switches Pcb mount has 2 more pins that secures the switch onto the pcb itself thus making it more stable.from the description from taobao said that pcb is more stable is this true ? Plate mount doesnt have the 2 extra pins and only rely on the plate holding the switch in place |

QUOTE(cloud8992 @ Jan 4 2015, 04:16 PM) guys want to ask is there much difference between plate mount and pcb mouth switches In any case, just get the pcb mounted switches. You can always clip the 2 legs off at the bottom if you plan to plate mount it. from the description from taobao said that pcb is more stable is this true ? But yes, the two pins stabilizes the switch if there's not plate. I usually use pcb mount switch even if I have plate, provided the pcb supports the pcb mounted switch. |
