You can actually get second hand standard layout mkb with price around Cherry 2.0.Standard layout is good for long run. But if you insist of getting Cherry 2.0, then of course I will not stop you at all. |

QUOTE(ian90 @ Mar 8 2015, 12:16 PM) Cherry ML, Jailhouse Blues, or Razer. QUOTE(Patent @ Mar 8 2015, 01:50 PM) O-rings don't affect travel. QUOTE(ian90 @ Mar 8 2015, 02:06 PM) So are there any off the shelf products? 'Cause if it costs a lot more than a standard keyboard then I don't think it's within my budget already =( As above, but remove JHB. |

QUOTE(dadudeneverabides @ Mar 8 2015, 03:18 PM) These products claim to reduce distance travel though..http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/index.php/pro...ers-125pcs.html Is it depends on the type of o-ring? |

QUOTE(Patent @ Mar 8 2015, 04:53 PM) These products claim to reduce distance travel though.. It'll reduce distance travelled before bottoming out, not distance traveled before actuation. http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/index.php/pro...ers-125pcs.html Is it depends on the type of o-ring? I assume you wanna reduce the former? |

QUOTE(ian90 @ Mar 8 2015, 04:32 PM) Haha. Kinda wanna try the click click feel. =p It mainly depends on how you type. Using membrane/scissor type switches, we have to bottom out in order for the key press to be registered. But that's not the case for mechanical switches, you don't need to bottom out the keypress. I notice that my new mx black registers the key press when i just press in very little. If I'm not mistaken, the distance the key needed to travel before key press is registered is 2mm or 4mm,( correct me if I'm wrong, sifus)But looks like I gotta settle with membrane & scissor switches lar.. If you wana try the click click feel, I'd suggest go to some shops which provides the demo keyboard and test. I don't regret spending money on a MKB. |
