Got few reasons behind:
- the recommendation is for those first time exposed to MKB (Custom, and Topre will be excluded)
- Standard layout (RF, HHKB not considered standard in Cherry world)
- for Cherry MX switches (coz high customisation and keycaps replacement)
- lower cost (RM2xx - RM4xx)

Well, of course can prepare another recommendation list for non-Cherry like Alps, Topre etc. nod.gif

thereis no best of mkb.
I have spent more than couple of times of your keyboard and find all MKB has different feeling, especially the custom keyboards.
Thats why we love custom mkb, custom to individual liking.

customization could mean only changing keycaps, changing case.
the further customization can go to changing switch, spring weight, lubrication, stickering the switches.
We even have epic customization like pipe mod or coin mod those are not-so-typical.

maybe you could separate the list into 2? One for normal users/people who are testing waters like me and another for someone feeling more adventurous/deeper pocket/ want to dwell deeper into MKB?

Originally there are 2 lists (from page 1):
- by form factor (currently I posted)
- by price factor (will be post once current list is ok)

The objectives of 2 lists are to recommend good keyboards with standard layout to ease future customization.
If you look carefully, our mkb thread never recommend Corsair, Razer, Logitech. smile.gif

Reason:
Avoid gaming mechanical keyboard due to non-standard layout unless you really need the additional feature.
Mechanical keyboard full of customization, you guys shouldn't stick with stock keycaps.

I would recommend Ducky Zero. It's available for MX Brown, and it has Full layout or TKL layout.
Price less than RM300.

Hi everyone, need a little bit help regarding mkb. Just bought my first mkb 2months ago. The mkb is CM Storm Rapid-i(blue switch white led). Everything is good when purchase, but after a few weeks, 1 of the led became dimmer and then dead.

At first I was ok because I thought it will be the only led with that problem, it is not very important(f9 key iinm). But then 1 by 1 of the key led start dying, now i think more than 5 already dead. and most of them are the important key. Sometimes when I play game in the dark I cant see the key, and in morning also hard to see because no led, the symbol also transparent. Any suggestion or recommendation on how to settle this?

Thank you in advance.
