Han, i dun write long review ler.. I dun wan simply write some impression over a thousand ringgit things which i spent less than half day. Unless u borrow me a few days..haha...
LD2+ dun haf obvious harsh or sharpen sound anymore..it removes tos "pssst, shhh" voice's tail. Much warmer sound than LDM+. Surprisingly, LDM+ is quite powerful enuff to drive AKG701, dun compare wif Grado phones(of cuz). I will keep looking for another safety headamp. My desk is full wif things. No place to put a "serious" heater besides.. Unless i am ready to bake some toaster or warming my coffee. My cousins likes to climb over the table to steal the candies. It could be danger. Dat would be another story if i can get LD2+ at lower price. hiak hiak. Walabies, I couldn't finalize impression on AKG701 since it is still at preliminary stage. And it sounds difference from my first tried experience. Now i can imaging how worse it sounds like when it is fresh outta the box after Han explained details bout it. |

QUOTE(dinodog_Jr @ Feb 2 2007, 08:55 PM) Surprisingly, LDM+ is quite powerful enuff to drive AKG701, dun compare wif Grado phones(of cuz). Well prior to my K701 purchase i scare my LD2+ cannot feed it with enough power, but then only i notice the K701 ain't a power hog. In fact it can reach normal listening volume directly from my EMU (max out every slider that is). As you can see, K701 can be powered solely by the EMU card and i'm pretty sure every headamp can power it up too (and that includes basic CMOYs etc)....snipped... Walabies, I couldn't finalize impression on AKG701 since it is still at preliminary stage. And it sounds difference from my first tried experience. Now i can imaging how worse it sounds like when it is fresh outta the box after Han explained details bout it. You know, i posted at Headfi saying how crappy it sounded fresh out-of-the-box, even a $10 headphone can easily pawn the K701; and they ask me to visit a doctor to check my ears. Duh... |

haha...Nobody will understand something unless they experience & test it.
I think ur ear are good at picking details from the Track06 u decribe to me. After i listened at the volume level of track06 at ur home..Do u think i need a surgery? U really listening all ur music at the level?!.. I will prefer to turn on speaker to listen "softly".. When i am on my headphone, i will blast it at my acceptance level. |

well yeah, u shud check ur ears then, cos a fresh outtabox k701 is still nice compared to an RS1 and i am more in preference with the fresh K701 over RS1 for the warmth and airiness.
Oh, by no mean K701 is easy to drive..justify can be driven and can be driven properly and be can driven optimally. |

You know, you really scare me off this evening. I was surprised to see you turn the knob until it reaches the end! Guess what, after you left i tried your volume on track 6, and i'm pretty sure you can pick up the airplane at <20s interval p.s. |

It left me with nasty impression, then it learned how to speak clearly, then it learned how to pump out bass. Oh yeah, now my baby is learning how to pump out bass with impact. |
