QUOTE(culain99 @ Jan 16 2015, 10:30 AM) Yes, I have one and I believe Quazacolt has one also since he has the torque app. Check with the seller first before buying. Might have some newer revision that can support and older version cannot support just in case. |

Even IF you get to hug or kiss you won't live through the night liao. Outside all the fans gather with steering lock or baseball bat etc.

QUOTE(awh85 @ Jan 19 2015, 09:39 PM) I need to check on the last chang of battery. But even if the battery is dead.. that ahouldnt lock the brake pad to the extent that i can press down on it right? Nothing to do with the brake pedal. As long as your car isn't fired up, if you keep pumping the brake pedal, pressure will build up until the brake pedal become stiff like it's stuck or something. Once you start up the engine the brake pedal loosens. |

For our car, the dipstick oil level we check when the engine is at optimum temperature or when it's cold?
Some cars have two indicators on the dipstick, one for cold one for hot. Any ideas? |

QUOTE(idunnolol @ Jan 20 2015, 09:52 PM) Using GoodYear Assurance Triplemax on my front and Pirelli Cinturato P1 on the back. You have the choice of going GoodYear Eagle Efficientgrip also if RM400 per donut. So far can't tell a different between Pirelli and the GY. But the Pirelli has better Treadwear 420 vs 3xx. My Goodyear RM325 per donut IIRC. Pirelli no idea cause the previous owner changed the front to this donut while the back was the stock CC5 which was worn like mad only 1mm until botak. |

QUOTE(idunnolol @ Jan 20 2015, 11:37 PM) I got quoted for pirelli at about 375 Per pcs I know the Pirellis are quite costly but I couldn't find them anywhere for sale in JB cause I wanted to have all donuts the same brand and model if possible but no luck.So far how is your experience with it bro? I thought of going to TOYO comfort line but apparently it will wear out after 15k km I looked for XM2 but prices were crazy expensive. Got quoted RM410 and RM360 per donut. In the end opted for Triplemax cause I came across this model while surveying around and since it's a relatively new model so decided to try it out. Advertisement promised shorter braking distance compared to competitors but I don't really drive aggresively. So far the the Pirelli and Triplemax to me are on par with each other in terms of NVH. Comfort wise both are comparable as well and I have my fronts on 35 psi and back 33 psi. Since the stock suspension is very soft so higher pressure is mitigated by the suspension setup not uncomfortable at all. Never pushed the tires to the max since I believe my suspension will give up first due to crazy bodyroll so far the on dry grip it's good and wet grip when it was raining like crazy a month or two back there was no hydroplaning at all. I only clock about 1000km max a month since I only commute from home to work and only occassional driving during weekends for YC with friends so the treadwear isn't important to me. I have XM2s on a 30 year old car and the wet grip is horrible despite not nearing the TWI. But the tires are already a few years old so I think that plays a factor in traction also. But in anycase, with RM400 you could try the Eagle Efficientgrip since it's in a better category compared to the Triplemax but if you're not an aggressive driver then the Triplemax is sufficient. Pirellis are ok if you like the longer threadwear. P7 would be better I suppose if you have a higher budget. EDIT : Also I made a mistake of swapping the Pirellis (initially in the front) to the back of the car when I came across a video where it showed if you only wanted to swap 2 tires, it's better to have the new ones at the back of the car rather than the front of the car. Doesn't matter you're FF or FR, if the back tires are relatively worn then you will skid when you run across wet roads. But in anycase my Pirellis were relatively new since they had lots of thread left (prolly 85%) so I'm still safe. But just something to note if you're swapping only 2 tires. Have the new ones placed at the back of the car instead of the front. This post has been edited by ffrulz: Jan 21 2015, 12:38 AM |
