Sad to tell u inspira clutch not adjustable
*
Before I changed my clutch the biting point was around 50% when I got it from the seller then when it slipped it got to 80%. Is it because of the CSC going to die?

After my recent clutch change the biting point still remain around 80% around there.

Changed to the same clutch?

Other brands?
*
Mitsu parts according to the list in 1st page.

Paid more attention to the clutch today. Actually I think around 50-60% for initial bite. Should be normal I guess. It's just way softer than my previous used clutch since I got the car 2nd hand.

You see owner manual,  recommend 100k  rofl!
If you not sohai like me keep over 200 kph for over an hour,  MTL (75w80) is fine.

I'm using mtl ,  but changed twice in 20k km lol! (first to drain shitty stock oil,  second cuz my mtl become water lol)
Yay sifu on mtl also lol
*
Went through the receipts the first owner passed to me. Saw Proton changed the gear oil @ 75k. The time I had trouble shifting out of 1st and into 3rd was @ 110k. Could be bearing dying out but replaced with MT85 improved quite a margin but still had the 1st and 3rd gear issue once in a blue moon.

Think 100k is too much for MT drivers with our awesome Jackie chan shifting.

V Ribbed is the Serpertine Belt?

This one known issue I think. Due to the 2 pullys and 1 tensioner that's made out of plastic.

Solution to replace with metal ones from the 2.0 Hyundai GEMA engine whose bottom end is the same as the 4B series.

where to buy in bolehland & how much the metal pulley cost?
*
No idea, here's the thread. Found it while searching for 4B series issues lol.

http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67410

Hyundai Part No 25287 2C000

Rough search for the price around USD 56 - 68+ satu biji.

Don't know whether our normal 4Bs are using the same pulley as the 4B11T or not since I only see the Evo owners having this problem. Haven't encountered a N/A owner having this problem yet.

I read bout it last year.. Never thought we too need to replace it.. Need to check back the part numbers for those items..

More importantly, whether or not soulless rebadge  car effected..
*
Might not need to replace it so soon if your mileage below 200k I believe? Depends, need to inspect the pulley and the belt itself.

http://www.motoiq.com/MagazineArticles/ID/...ruary-2010.aspx

Another article on the issue.

I think our N/A engine has the same plastic pulley just that Evo owners are getting the problem because they run high revs most of the time.

I believe there's also another issue with the 4B series timing chain. Saw an article regarding timing chain stretch and Mitsu revised the chain design in later models and also the oil squirter that lubricates the engine.

Later I dig up the article again.

Very informative since it guides you how to see how far your chain has stretched. Usually the computer will popup on the screen if the stretch is causing timing issues but by that time it means you must not drive the car already if not you'll damage the engine beyond repair.

Here's the article which I mentioned this morning regarding the Timing Chain stretch.

Moral of the article : Change your oil often and never too late.

i think changing the gear final drive will be easier .. lolz

short answer NO. the map resolution is only until 7k, above 7k basically the ECU does not know what kok u talking to it (the sensors talking to it i mean).. so It would not know how to fuel it, how to advance the timing.. know nothing..

There are way more things u need to worry than just open higher RPM .. like most of the sohigh ask me .. can open till 8k ah .. (but drive like snail one.. tongue.gif) .. first of all u need to worry the engine oil pump is capable of pumping enough oil for such a high speed engine or not ? .. next the valve springs can tahan or not .. tahan interms of after cam push it open .. does it have enough strength to return to position in time.. at 8k rpm basically each valve open 4k per minute rate .. if the spring cant return on time.. welldone.. u successfully married the valve with the piston !  rclxm9.gif

If not then buy two sampah, one N/A high compression high revving mod like Type R and one low compression forced induction mod.

But seems like Honda also sudah insaf, new Type R also forced induction.
