QUOTE(victorywp @ Feb 4 2016, 01:00 PM) lol... so you have to surrender your mykad to get your refund back. just kidding... i know for tng mykad no need to surrender it, they will just transfer the refund into your bank account. you are right. i gonna use mykad as example to challenge them. no logic that i need to surrender my physical card.

QUOTE(justheone_2 @ Feb 4 2016, 01:10 PM) I tried paying in Tesco, but every time need to get the store manager to key in password into payment machine. So waiting time is normally around 5mins or more. Then in KK store.. have to spend min RM30 only can pay with TnG. so many issues with TnG. I agree with you on the Tesco payment using TnG. It only slows down the queue rather than helping it.

For Tesco-TnG, can I keep balance zero and dont use the TnG function and solely to collect Tesco points, would it still consider as dormant? I wonder which pirate owns the company?

and Kampung2005 has been wondering why people still do not use TnG QUOTE Thank you for your details. Please note that your card has been deactivated on 16/9/2015 as the card has not had any card transaction for the last 12 consecutive months. Once a card is deactivated, an administration deactivation fee of RM5.30 30 (including GST effective 01st April 2015) will be imposed. The fee is deducted from the last card balance. In the event of a deactivated card continues to remain inactive, a maintenance fee of RM5.30(Included 6% GST) will be charged and deducted from the said deposit or unutilized card balance once every six (6) months. We will stop charging maintenance fee when the card is returned for refund or until the deposit and card balance is depleted.
The detail of your Touch 'n Go card is as follows: Serial no.        xxx Old card balance RM20.00 Termination fee (RM5.30) Administration fee (RM5.30) A total administration and termination fee of RM10.60 is imposed for your Touch 'n Go card which has been inactive since 16/9/2015 until todate. Please visit Touch 'n Go counter for refund request. Kindly be informed that balance will refund within 30 days. and here is my reply: QUOTE I am not able to go to the counter to return the card as it is only available at the toll area (in Melaka) and I cannot go there. I question the need for me to go there since the card is dormant and cannot be activated. The card is basically useless now. So since TnG linked cards like MyKad and Tesco cards cannot be returned, similar should apply to my card as well. I want the refund to be banked in to my bank account. If you want proof of termination, I am happy to provide a photo of the card cut into 2 pieces. Since you charged an administrative fee, you are compelled to provide this service. Thank you. i am basically being a pain This post has been edited by Human Nature: Feb 4 2016, 06:47 PM

So if I want to keep my Tesco-TnG card for point collection only, best that I use up all my stored balance(=0) and let it deactivate so that no charges will be incurred?

QUOTE(victorywp @ Feb 4 2016, 10:56 PM) yes, but why do you want to upgrade your normal tesco clubcard if you are not going to use its tng feature in the first place? Didnt know about the hassle of using the TnG feature at Tesco cashier when applied for the free tesco-TnG card. Also thought that I am able to topup using CC at Tesco.
