For new car, I don't think they(proton sales) include the windshield coverage. But I'll check with the insurance.

The crack is on driver side(image attached). Like a L shape and the crack is keep moving downwards.

Also thinking to claim on the next insurance renewal but still had to wait another 10mth.

same crack as mine, except that mine the line going upwards than you downwards. And during that time, the crack happen only after 2 month of the brand new car and still leaving it as it be.

Got insurance on windscreen as due to it at the side and also block by my handphone holder, will only change when either got worse or near to my next year insurance renewer.

Why do you need to hold it using duct time (i guess inside) as the tinting is holding it. Feeling like trying to do a DIY on fixing the crack.

No idea on what model they use, but if you want to redo it, why dont you get better ones's. I know it's more expensive but definitely better heat reduction.

for those who got the crack on the windshield....do u think we're just unlucky or is it the factory defect since all crack start from the edge or is the design of MPV itself (aerodynamic)

For those with windscreen crack, when you hear stone chip, do you see the stone hitting the windscreen?
My guess sometimes, at the instant the screen cracks, there will be an audible 'pak' sound. This could be mistaken for stone hitting the windscreen?

And at the same time, I forgot to mention on the earlier posting about my brake pedal. While it's still responsive, I noticed that stepping on that pedal now produces a "screech, screech" sound - like what a door makes, when there is no oil on the hinges.

So is this something to do with the brake pedal drying up? What can I do to get rid of that irritating sound?

Not bad, that's very good mileage. The highest level that is shown on my full tank indicator, since I took possession of this Exora in September, was 603km (and that was on the day I picked the car up! ), and since then, the maximum I've seen is between 570 to 590km.

How do I "boost" the mileage levels up on a full tank, just to ask?

Got my new engine mounting installed today. The engine mounting that was changed, is the one on the right side of the car, just below the power steering fluid reservoir.

Feels super good. Internal of the car is so much more pleasant and silent that I can hear the sound of off-throttle blow-off again. The sound I'm referring to is the faint hissing, not the constant whistle when flooring the throttle. The CVT feels tighter when responding to throttle. No jerk when engaging gear between D-N. Radiator fan noise can be heard, but doesn't feel the harshness when it spins up. Most importantly, the CVT whirring that I've been dealing with since I bought this car, is GONE!

Including this, replacing brake pad clips, 40k service, my 2 years old EB feels like a new ride again.

40k service ask to check engine vibrate felt in the car, and gear engage experience jerking. That day got stock, but was reserved for another car, and while I was there today, another 2014 unit was getting it replaced. Covered under warranty. Such things are meant to last >5 years.

tehsarbatYeah. The CVT3 whirring suddenly felt like it went away. Perhaps not as good as CVT3+.

Another update about ABS light on, SC checked with OBD and found front left sensor faulty and module shutdown incomplete... something along those lines. They ordered a sensor and brake pump module. Need to wait few weeks.

yeah, i did noticed something.. (you tau la i start my BOLD once a week). when we start the car, usually we hear consistent high tune ste'e'e'e'. (something like tat la).  the week before i kena, something not right with the ste'e'e'e' tune and my heart feeling tak sedap oledy. its  macam high. low, then high again, but the engine still hidop. there's olso no sign op low  battery voltage indicator light up. or maybe got that sign when i masokkan the key before the ste'e'e'e' but i tak perasan kot, coz when the engine running, the battery will gain back its power. pastu the whole day i jalan-jalan, ronde-ronde, nothing happen and the ste'e'e'e' tune pon ok, so i tak kesah le.
then the week i kena, 2 days before, the same things happen. high, low, high ste'e'e'e' tune again, but the engine still a life, still tak kesah, i start my night drive balik kampong. 3++KM. 2 days kat kampong pon still ok. then going back to KL olso late night.  sampai KL at about 1 am. i just parked the car infront the gate coz tak mau disturb the neighbours.
then the next morning the tragic things happen when i'm rushihg to work. i got to alih the BOLD aside to make way, koz my KEMBARA still inside. insert the Bold's key, on, then its ste'e'tat,tat,tat.tat, and the whole meter indicator black-out. off the key, on again, baru le that 'lo' sign battery indicator came out. to late oledy the BOLD cannot start and the worst, its in the middle of the way. me, my wife and my 13yrs old daughter kene push the car aside. very very heavy ooo. .
so . if u feel something unusual with the sta'e'e'e'e sound@tune, better beware. i'm just lucky its happen back home.
