Gear lock = shift to D, 4 door lock, shift back to P, unlock
Speed lock = reach certain speed, ie, 40km/h, door lock

thought you was asking about the OBD lock,
-have never seen anyone using gear lock on city, most are using pedal locks,
-depending on the sc that you went to, if they want it to be void, they can make it happen
-can just take it out when you are going in for warranty claiming,
-nope, not sure about other brands, but the 1 i had on, "Locktech" doesn't require any drilling or whatsoever
-not other forummer slow, just no one wants to entertain you nia

steering lock doesn't really do much help, i prefer pedal lock thumbup.gif

turning on the things doesn't really do much help, kinda troublesome for me, most of the time, i just start the car and wait for the blue temperature icon to disappear, then drive off

not sure if there's an obd that will function like that, so far, have only heard 2 type, with the gear type, one can just simply shift the gear to P, and back to D, then, it'll lock the door, even if you unlock it manually, i have that on my car, lol

first of all, airbag is not like a piece of accessory that you can remove when you feel syiok,
second, airbags should only be remove or install by trained personnel,
third, why buy a car that come with airbags when you are so concerned about it's functionality ?
fourth, the current gen of honda city is not affected by the shrapnel cases
fifth, there have been cases where current gen's airbags were deployed in accidents, no such things as injury caused by airbags were reported

lastly, a quote for you,

shouldn't have used that, cif and tooth paste are abrasive, for god's sake, those are for toiletries usage, lol
i think there's a kind of polish that you use, but i forgot when you can buy it...

i've experienced the "chok chok" / jerkiness too, but just very minor, and only when the car is travelling at low speed (20-40~ish), so far, engine didn't shut off

For both spec above also, I also going to include
Bodykit RM = 3,200
Tinted RM = 2,200

I have enough down payment cash to pay for both type but I still can't decide to go V spec or E spec. Atm, I'm saving another RM6k for bodykit and tinted. Did the price for bodykit and tinted are reasonable? I never dealing this thing before. FYI, this is my first car after 5 years using my dad car and now plan to buy for me and my future family. With my current job and pay it should be no problem since my budget is below rm1k.

I also did alot research (carbase review, paultan and etc), I notice that most ppl choose Honda City for budget below rm1k. Should I go for E spec or V. Im currently attracted to the extra feature and accesories for V spec but I know 80% of the spec from V spec can be implemented at E spec. In the end, the upgrade cost for E spec to become similar like Vspec almost rm7k also according to my SA.

What do you think? Can enlighten me some opinion and suggestion? Anyone know which honda city dealer can get more rebate/discount and cheaper bodykit(original) and tinted?

if safety is your concern, V would suit you the most, the extra airbags and cruise control might come in handy
if wanna mod your car, can get E, it's basically a V with less fancy gadgets

just a heads up, my friend who owns an accessories shop told me there's a few sa who went to install the bodykit at his shop, and he only charge them 1300 ~ 1500, just imagine you pay 3k for the bodykit, just to end up with kits that are not even worth half you paid for
