QUOTE(nexro @ Sep 15 2008, 06:41 PM) From the pictures, the TK10 has a brighter hotspot and a brighter corona. It's pretty obvious. Well... that's what my eyes tells me too and i had even edited to put it side by side with Tk10 for comparison but ..... being kept advised that new Luxeon 25W is still brighter and spot than TK.... Did you set your camera in Auto mode when you took those pictures? |

Better ask your supplier about the Lumens emitting from your torch otherwise you'll gonna get more headache when customers like us wanting to know the lumens and other infos.... All the best. |

QUOTE(slk @ Sep 17 2008, 09:50 PM) Thanks for the info guys. But I'm looking at something which is brighter than 5XX lumens. Actually I'm interested at the Aurora AK-P7. Hows yours patchin? My 2 units aurora ak-p7 sold out within 2 days of notice... hahaha.... therefore i am not having any aurora ak-p7 anymore.....900 lumens!!!! some of friend just grab the torch from me and threw the money in exchange as they wanted to fish "sotong" on the sea! straight away. They all came back with "fruitful" catch due to the "BRIGHTNESS" of the torch which attracts "sotongs"!. |

QUOTE(PrinceCaspien @ Sep 18 2008, 05:24 PM) From what i see...the reflector is much deeper and bigger than TK11.Added on September 18, 2008, 5:37 pm QUOTE(Watta?? @ Sep 18 2008, 05:12 PM) So i presume...it's time to kick TK11 off and change it to 25W Police???? One is too bright for near usage and one is just nice for near usage...
If you wanna use it for range of say... within 30 meters... 100 feets..... 900 lumen is good for flood lights.... If you use it for near usage say... within 10 meters.....33 feets... normal 225-250 lumens is good..... If you use 900 lumens for near usage...you will find it too bright..... If you wanna shine somewhere far away....say.... 300 metres....1000 feets...better get a spot type lights to shine far distances..... all depending on your requirements...... |

QUOTE(Nightstalker1993 @ Sep 23 2008, 04:12 PM) well this 1 sure looks like it can knock someone out lol... Looks like the Police 25W torch has some body (tube) extender???? So, if without the extender what type of battery is it using???? 1x18650? or 3x CR123A?build quality can be felt too lol... tested at the shop comparing this to the TK11... the TK11 does have a larger beam but in terms of brightness is not as bright as this lol... but i think the only downside is that this flashlight does not have a power regulator circuit... so if using alkaline, it will slowly get dimmer and dimmer and dimmer.... gonna get some rechargeables hehe.... Hmmm...no circuit driver???? so meaning it's pulling direct power lor..... no wonder it's cheap and good!. If wanna add circuit, just add on or MOD it .... Just wondering if it can use 1x or 2x 14500 batteries??? since it's the same sized as AA...... but please don't try.... as it might blows up the LED!!!!!

QUOTE(gadgetworld2u @ Sep 26 2008, 07:28 PM) Thanks for the great feedback. Ya can also use it with 4pcs AA it be brighter but to use 4pcs AA battery you will have to buy 2pcs of the 25 watt and combine the body together. Max 4pcs AA battery, no point goin to 5pcs cuz output is the same but the runtime may last longer. You're sure that your torchlight doesn't have the proper circuit driver???? If go directly from max 3xAA to 4x AA, you'll overdrive the LED which will "pop" your LED or overburn it!. Hehe ya he is a friendly dude. |

QUOTE(PrinceCaspien @ Sep 27 2008, 03:46 PM) similiar product except here it is written 5W and under rated the lumens like surefire does all the time... They may looked the same.... but i sincerely think that their configurations are different!.this is the first time i see a china led flashlight that under rated their lumens.... http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.14972 cree P4 has been a bright led cause i have a romisen cree P4 RC-F4 which is brighter than my friend's p3d Q5... Most China made torchlight's bodies nowadays having almost the same configurations but the different is the LED and it's driver system..... First of all, the advertised DX is 5W on body and gadgetworld2u's is 25W on the body. The LED's looks the same to our raw eye view .....but i believed that their system configurations are totally different.... From my point of view, most china made torchlights normally will over-rate their products and hardly will under-rate ....as to market their products against competitions!.... QUOTE(Watta?? @ Oct 5 2008, 03:40 PM) any dealers or expert in fenix lights mind explaining something to me? From my experience.....it's the battery.last night when i was using my TK11 on turbo mode, suddenly the light went off.. but the led was still shinning.. very very dim.. then i turned it off and turned it back on and it lasted for 5sec before total darkness except for the little light emitted from the led.. after i've fully recharged my batteries the light goes back to normal.. so is it my battery problem or is it the problem with the light? You must have been using it for sometime already. The Battery must have been exhausted already..... |

If I am you.. Watta bro...
I will take another set of AW123A batteries to test it.....normally it's one of the cell got some problem......one of the cell might shut down due to protected mode (if yours is protected cell)....or discharging faster than another.... Therefore use another set of batteries to rotate and find out which battery is the culprit. If have meter for measuring would be the best but sometimes....eventhough it's still indicated as full (not loaded...only with meter) but it's already giving problem...as it cannot sustain the draining power from the circuit. Hope you can understand better. This post has been edited by patchin: Oct 5 2008, 07:12 PM |

From my experience....yes! it's the battery.
I also had similiar problem with one of my torch using 18500 battery....one of the battery is good running on turbo for 30-40 min but the other one...only max 10-15 min and it will shut down the torch....I had measured the battery capacity...it's still quite good but it just cannot withstand the draining power of the torch.... or may shud i say.... battery quality problem.....it's common.....it's around 10-20% cases with batteries......it just cannot withhold the charged or it's discharging faster than normal when in USE! If you're still unsure...then go and buy TESCO's CR123 battery and use it in your torch....see if it's having the same problem.... it's only 4.99 per CR123 (cheap). If you really think the LED got problem??? then it shud not even light up again (Burnt) if your LED got problem.... This post has been edited by patchin: Oct 5 2008, 08:38 PM |
