Yo Bro Nexro,
My Spider Fire ZY-C30 200 lumen with adjustable Light Beam 3xAAA can throw upto 400M lah.... much longer than Tk11!. Hahaha.... but the spot is the shape of the CREE LED (Square shape!!! The actual shape of the CREE LED!!) but the flood is good enough to brighten up around 15 feet front only). Good throw, got to forsake good flood. Cannot get BOTH world together!. |

Bro Nexro,
Visibility doesn't mean it can shines upto that level lah.... eg: our car's headlight visibility also upto many miles away but can only shines and brighten up roads how many meters away only??? Photos taken using 1sec and some 1/2 sec shot due to night shot. Measured with my GPS unit which took me walking at night..... Taken at around 20 feet: Zoom Out (Flood system) Zoom In (Spot System) 115 Meters shot: 246 Meters shot: 482 meters: You can see that from 482 meters it's still slight brights up...therefore i would say the throw max upto 400 m to be clear. Now where to find a single Cree LED 200 lumen mini torch with 3xAAA can throw upto 400m ?? This post has been edited by patchin: Sep 8 2008, 03:37 AM |

Well, cannot guarantee as sometimes things can even go missing in Kastam itself. |

QUOTE(justin78 @ Sep 9 2008, 07:18 PM) Wow wow wow!!! The Maglite LED drop in cost a bomb, an expensive price USD60 can buy a lot of other flashlight to replace the good old Maglite. Justin Bro,I will need to think twice to buy that. I found an alternative LED upgrade, this upgrade is from Maglite itself - Check out here: http://www.maglite.com/LED_Mod.asp http://www.amazon.com/Mag-Instrument-MagLI...e/dp/B000IXAJG4 Of course the LED upgrade from Maglite itself does not produce very high lumens as compare to this , but it is way CHEAPER. Here's one more link for the drop-in mod for maglite. Maglite LED Module Happy viewing. |

Bro Watta,
I think the best way to prove it..... is to trial the scenario, rite???? But get prepared to "sacrifice" your toy ???? After the dip....please ensure to open up all (everything) at your torch to blow dry (hair drier) it ASAP. Then let us know....hahahaha... |

The easiest to get is either home uses... Singer Oil or even cooking oil is OK but it's a bit dirty coloured ...... The lube basically resist the water froom going in. As long as there's lube / oil around the "O" ring area, it's better than nothing.

If can get the silicon lube...it's the best!!!! or one can travel to any good tackle shop...there also got sale of silicon lube as well....
By the way, the Jet-III Pro series.... does it has the "constant brightness" circuitary as in Fenix TK series or direct pulls from battery? This post has been edited by patchin: Sep 14 2008, 12:08 AM |

QUOTE(Watta?? @ Sep 14 2008, 11:06 AM) oh.. haha.. but im not willing to sacrifice my TK11 jus to try.. i'll update next time if my light every falls into water.. Added on September 14, 2008, 2:07 pm QUOTE(nexro @ Sep 14 2008, 10:45 AM) If you mean regulator circuit, then it has... as for constant brightness, one have to refer to runtime charts. Wow...looks like JetBeam III Pro has better "constant level" output than Fenix!!! and so is the price as well!! Fenix TK11 runtime: https://www.fenix-store.com/product_info.ph...products_id=497 http://www.light-reviews.com/fenix_tk11/ Jet3Pro runtime: http://www.cpfreviews.com/JETBeam-Jet-III-Pro-IBS.php http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=196577 Which one has "constant brightness" on 100%/Turbo/High, you be the judge Fenix definitely has a strong head-on competition!!!!! Personally, I would choose JetBeam III Pro as well. This post has been edited by patchin: Sep 14 2008, 02:08 PM |

Well, there's alway "claims of claims!!!" from manufacturerlah... if they claimed that "constant brightness" therefore it should not drop anything below 3% from the original lumen otherwise...what's the constant brightness claim for???? ............. for marketing only lor!... LOL

As long as it's good torch...am interested....do you know how many lumen ?
Can take a photo comparison between TK11 and this new torch : 10M and 100M and 200M? Can we use 1x 14500 using only the back extra tubing as main shaft? as 3x AAA is a bit too long to carry as EDC. 1x 14500 would be the best!. This post has been edited by patchin: Sep 14 2008, 11:58 PM |

Bro Pedro
I think it's using Luxeon!. Gadgetworld2u, Sorry my typo error...it's 3xAA and not 3xAAA. Since it can use 2 or 3x AA meaning it's circuit should be able to use between 2-4.7V therefore it should be able to use 1x 14500 provided the extra tubing for end part able to connect the front module. From the photo taken....comparing TK10 and your new Police 25W Luxeon light....looks like TK10 still brighter leh..... just look at TK10 shining at the playground (children slide) and the tree....looks like Tk10 still brighter!. i took the liberty to edit and paste your Police 25W torch to your TK10 comparison as below: If using Luxeon LED, I doubt it can outshine Q5 LED.
