Nice! How does the earpad of the M50 felt?? Is it really soft like the Sony's XB700's earpad??

Oooh, XB700's earpad is so soft I cant pull my hands away from it......by far the most comfortable earpad I've ever felt
*
Sorry I know nothing bout the Sony u mention, but M50's pads are comfortable, better than M30. M30 somehow like clamping my head when i put on it.
M50 is great for long hours use. cool.gif

m50 is way2much of my budget though. sweat.gif
juz want2ask a question.
how long does it takes to burn in m30?
do i need 2 burn in straight 24/7?

welcome to the club! smile.gif
optimum burn in time would be 100 hours or more.
u can either do it in one shot (~3 days continuous) or burn it as u use it.

from my experience, earphone needs more burning-in compare to headphone.
I noticed improvement on my M30 & M50 after burning in, but it's not that significant.

QUOTE(kumanosuke @ Feb 15 2009, 05:22 AM)
anyone here ever try Audio Technica's earphone ?

i remember i read a review from a magazine b4 saying it is quite good
*
Well surprisingly not many are running on AT earphones here, though I heard from other's comments on CK series are quite good.
Would love to try them if I got the chance, as currently my IEM choices stuck with Bijou those.

I have ATH-ANC7, the sound is great compare to other earphone i hear before, I'm using with nokia 5800 and laptop at home.
*
That's a good stuff mate. Wonders whether it's NC function can compete with Sony's?
From my experience with Sony's NC function on my Sony Walkman, it can just filter lower frequency voices. It needs both player and earphone in order for the NC to work.
So how ATH-NC7 works?

*
ahah good one.
how come others can listen to what u're listening? it isnt an open end can....
i usually put on the Sony NC on LRT, part of the LRT moving sound is cancelled but I still can hear people talking next to me. sweat.gif

test M30 at LY Plaza? I thought locals are not (or rarely) selling Audio Technica stuffs?

according to Akabane, M30 & M50 can be driven by radio or computer audio so dont need amp also can.

At least you know both choices are OK so either one would do just fine.
If so hard to decide, do it the Harvey "Two Face" Dent's way. brows.gif

CK-100 quite costly.... convert from JPY is like RM 1k+ already.
is it same level as those high-end IEMs from Shure?

Yeah A500 is looks big but i saw people even hook up his AKG 701 at LRT Station in Malaysia even a big can of Sony. So is up to you to. But for me is bulky a bit. Portable i think ES7 is good to use as outwear,,,A500 no problem with all type of music but in average quality for me, even in gaming make you crazy....ES7 is good but need to burn in some vcertain level for expectation. Portable Amp may needed.
*
Akabane's "average quality" is actually very good for ordinary folks already.... W1k is overkill lol.
A500 might be bulky, but the quality is good if u plan to use it indoor.

overkill.... lolz.

btw, i just wanna ask this for my future reference. W1k & ESW10 Jpn, what's the difference between both cans? in terms of SQ, performance and price?

my future build would like to be without amp or those DAC stuffs.... so I need something that can be driven easily.
