Is ATH-M30 consider a bassy headphone?
I'm more to clarity type, for music-listening purpose.
I know T22 is a budget model, but is it better than Philips SHP2000 (using it now)?
Headphones Audio Technica Headphones, Fan/User Club? :p

Akabane, one of the forumer bought the M30 from u and she says it's too bassy to her, so I'm a little worried bout it lol....
Well, I hope it'll worth the investment, the other ATH models are way too expensive for a starter... |

I'm more into instrumental, orchestral, piano those kind of music. Lesser listen to pop or rock though.
Any comments from T22 or M30 users? |

Using the M30 now.
The sound is very clear, bass is just nice, not too loud. The noise-cancelling is great! When I play soft music I cant even hear my phone ringing lol. Now I can really enjoy the original music without the need of SRS Audio Sandbox already, the difference is just a little but I prefer the original sound. The only prob is I think the headphone is a little to elastic already, like kepit my head between the drivers. P/S: Thanks for the deal Akabane. Added on November 1, 2008, 10:30 pmBtw, anyone here registered their headphone on the website? Any special benefits registering it? This post has been edited by CLF: Nov 1 2008, 10:30 PM |

Burn in does help the headphone, at least for my case.
The difference is obvious before and after burn in. |

If Import Series is Made in Japan it'll be another different story for the quality.
But well, every wired stuffs nowadays are mostly made in China, so there might be questioning in it's built quality. |

Hmm.... now planning for a future earphone, was stuck between CK32 & ON3.
I mostly use it on my phone (Nokia 5310), MP3 player and laptop (desperate case). The price is almost the same, ~100. So wanna ask which one delivers better sound after burn in? I don't mind the design as I'm usually use it on the go. |

QUOTE(ycl90 @ Nov 25 2008, 03:49 AM) I cant give u comparison between both, but M30 VS T22, M30 wins hands down.M30 is more towards sound monitor, which creates pretty accurate and nice sound. It's around RM 180. Of course, higher level than M30 would be the M50, but that would've exceeded your budget a lot. |

My dream headphone would be ATH-M50. Good thing is it can be folded, unlike it's cheaper brother M30. Very useful especially when travelling.

QUOTE(moniqee @ Nov 27 2008, 04:18 PM) M30 is good already, but M50 is the better of M30, or so I read from the net. Better clarity and SQ, M50 easily beats M30, and of course the price difference is big too (RM 180 VS RM 700).I don't have any info on M40 now though. |

Human ears can only respond to 20Hz to 20kHz of soundwave, the rest you can't hear it.

no chance to test out M50 personally though, see if I struck the motherlode or so then invest one. |
