Actually I tried my M30 with Foobar 2k, compare the same song 128k MP3 VS lossless WAV.... but I can't really hear the significant difference though.

Btw sep90, last time I saw you put some new ATH wooden models in one of the thread, can repost the pics here? Can't find it anymore...

I saw in another 2005 thread the only AT shop is in Singapore sad.gif

I think we don't have it here, usually go through dealers in the bulk/garage section.

wow, getting M50 finally  rclxms.gif

im still remember i was really surprise by M50 when i first put it on using my creative zen mp3 player only, it already sound so good. btw, i got the used unit and is already burn-in, and important i bought it at much cheaper price and i think it is my best price/performance headphone so far,  brows.gif

probably M50 will give you much surprise over M30 especially on the soundstage/instrument placement. cool.gif
so far im pairing it with ibasso D1, adding a LDMK3 would make the vocal nicer.
*
Thanks for the briefing, I shall compare it to it's younger sibling the M30. tongue.gif
So far no amps though, just play it through laptop or radio. cool.gif

Added on January 10, 2009, 10:06 pmWell, what can I say? M50 pwns!

Immediately noticed the difference when I tried it with M30 side by side.

user posted image

M50 sounds louder than M30 at the same volume setting. I've to tune down the volume settings of the computer and Foobar so that my ear won't hurt.

Bass is good, I like it. Played the same part of the song and tried to compare both. M50 > a burned M30.

user posted image

I'd say it's nice, though it's just a few hours into burning in. Definitely will sounds better once completely burned. biggrin.gif

Thanks again Akabane. thumbup.gif

Man it would be awesome if you make a review out of it.

Damn I see you from using Ep630 to this. It's like a father looking his child from small until he graduated from university cry.gif

lol thx.... just the 2nd stage nia.... belum lagi real poison yet. tongue.gif

Review on ATH-M50:
http://phantomclf.blogspot.com/2009/01/aud...ca-ath-m50.html

Much of the comments on the headphone is over there.

Wanna add, the noise isolation is better than M30 as it covers the ear better than the younger "brother".
M50 is much comfortable compare to M30, which I find it kinda like gripping my head when I first put on it.
cool.gif

Eyeing on this in few years time.... drool.gif

P/S:
EP-630 is mostly used when I'm outside, commuting on the LRT etc. Spotted a guy who uses the same earphone too, I guess maybe he got it from Neologian too? whistling.gif

Mmm, the a2000x, from the reviews I read it seems like almost all the reviewer are not really happy with its bass performance.  hmm.gif
*
yakah? well according to sep90 the sound of A200X is different from the other ATH models, so maybe it might affect it?
dun really go deep into the reviews yet until I can afford one. tongue.gif
by the time i think should have other newer models already.

Hi guys. I'm going to buy m30 but at the same price level can anyone tell me Philips cans have a good bass produce compare to m30?
*
cant think of any, but why would you still want to get Philips when you have Audio Technica? AT simply beats Philips. thumbup.gif

Hi,

Does anyone where I can find AudioTechnica headphones in KL? I'm particularly interested in ANC7. Any ideas how much is it?

Thanks.

I got it from Akabane's bulk.

Better get it fast from him as price gonna hike soon.

Alternatively, you can try on Walabies' bulk.

Just to make something clear, just because I find that I like it better does not necessarily make it a better headphone.

I didn't say the ES7 is a better headphone, I just said I liked it more... nyeh nyeh nyeh... tongue.gif

The most important thing I learnt in this hobby is:

TRUST your OWN ears. wink.gif
