i dropped by AT booth at pc fair yesterday~ auditioned ad700 but they're playing base heavy tracks (blackeyepeas - boom boom pow) T_T

me too, I auditioned AD900 and M30. It's hard to audition the AD900 because there's a lot outside noise, they used lousy source too, the M30 didn't impress me. I was thinking if i could get the M30 instead of the more expensive senns hd280pro.

I agree dat, pc fair is not a good place for testing the AT products.
I will recommend u try it @ our dealer shop. Better environment or we can have a smallTT section, I bring along the AD for AT fans to test it

What models u want to test? For lowyat u can get the AT products fr Allit, Sricom, Viewnet, Czone, Thundermatch and etc. most of the products they carry r consumer series

as what I expected actually.....that is why I dun wanna go auditioned there..

AllIt doesnt have AD series yet?

We will try to arrange some AD series sample to lowyat dealer store for testing purpose after the fair.

@edifier can u make a announcement which shop is having the demo ad series after the fair .. seriously .. their source is really bad in the pc fair .

Perhaps you can get some LYN members to give opinions on how to set up those samples.

We will improve the setup on next fair and this is the 1st time we setup the AT booth. In fact, we already put a headphone amp for the AD series in hall 5 booth and we also use cd instead of mp3.

i think its not your fault la boss...

The place itself is really noisy to audition an AD series......
it is easy to contaminate the ad series music since its an open back cans......

yup i also drop 1 of the booth...yeah its noisy there..but i havent see any a series..only ad series..

ATH is a really an awesome company! I was a sennheiser fan before this,but now for me there is no point anymore. ATH middle level can is soo damn good.

the ad300 have about 20-30% more bass than ad700 but without the wide soundstage of ad700.
I was kinda surpise and have a quick liking for ad300, but after Akabane put some serious bass test flac from his gmod ipod,it showed that ad300 bass is there.
for me,ad300 does sound a little bit dark too.

I have a high faith in ad300, after burn in period,I hope everything will be tighter and sounded sweet.


ad700 does everything as ad300 did but with less bass and more soundstage. Its treble is really nice, bass thumping is nicely produce.
If anyone have the Ultrasone binaural test file, do try out track7 for unforgettable low bass...


W1000 is the king of vocal. I was really surpise and just smile when akabane test song is Whitney Houston (cant remember the title)
But once I took the can and tested it myself, God gracious
W1000 is really a musical can. No amount of test only song can show its capabilities other than a real song. All the song sounded sooo nice. Calm,fun,musical is the word to describe it.
This cans is really a beast.Hard to drive. My desktop amp have some workout to drive this can.
