Work your lats. Rows to lower stomach and hammer grip pullups will do fine. Check exrx.net for more exercises.

Genetics matters whereby it influences muscle insertations.

thx for the info. just a quick question, do i need to do it daily or i should let my body to rest? eg. exercise today and rest on the next day and continue to workout on the next next day? will this help me to build the shape faster?

couldn't open the video

to get a good v taper, you need to have

wide shoulder ( side raises, wider grip overhead press Etc )

big lats ( pull downs, pull ups, rows etc)

and last, small waist

Drop all weight related exercise and just do Hiit. To have V-shape you need to burn the love handles.

Have you ever wonder, why those thin people got six packs even tho they never do sit up? the answer is less fat percentage. I experience more define 6 packs by just eat less and do cardio exercise burning fats WITHOUT ANY SIT-UP OR ANY ABS EXERCISE.

The fat cover the packs and also the waist V-shape area. So burn those to hell..

you need to go on a program written by pros

like mark rippetoe, layne norton, or ice cream fitness, or stronglifts

follow the template and you will train all part equally, having big arms, nice v-tapers and great legs

I managed to have a slight but noticable throught clothing V-Taper after 2.5 months of serious training at 20%++ bodyfat... while having 0 packs. Did a 5x5 fullbody which had 2:1 pull:push ratio.

V taper is the ideal figure for guys as it appeals to both sexes! In addition do not forget the legs. Have you seen muscular upper body guy with small legs? Look like Johnny bravo.

I also suggest that you get a coach to help you.

The V shaped body will work if you have broad shoulders too with tapering down to the abdomen. So it is important to work the upper body (shoulders, pecs and lats) to get the ultimate V shape look. And BF matters too.

I assume that your body is the ectomorph type. Typically skinny body that is hard to gain weight. So your diet and exercise have to be customised for you according to your goals, commitment and finance (especially food budget). Personally I also go for sports massage twice a year to rejuvenate and reinvigorate the body that has been working so hard all the while.

Most gyms have either their own coaches and you could also hire independent coaches. I cannot recommend any coaches as I have 'sacked' my coaches long time ago (lost contact).

You can PM me for some confidential tips. Otherwise it might sound like commercial here.

All the best to you!

If you're skinny go bulking and gain more muscle mass. Do lots of shoulder/back workout. ESPECIALLY COMPOUND MOVEMENT. a must

6 packs on thin skinny guy is like big boobies on fat woman. It doesn't count.

so what count? 6 packs cant grow as big as your bicep. In fact getting v-shape is all about trimmer waistline and not bulk em with either fat or muscle...Get me?

Kenyan marathoners all can have 6 packs, but there is nothing apealing about that. In fact those are ugly. If you aim to have a proper aesthetic body, please do it correctly. Thin guys will never have the wing like lats. How to be V-shaped?

If you are talking about big and LEAN, then thats different story. Yes. You need to low body fats for the abs to show. But if you only want 6 packs but starve yourself silly to it (thin), I rather you not do it...Get me?

My point focused on the core area of anatomy. Go ahead do 6,000,000,000.00 sit ups, but if the fat percentage is more, there will be no 6 packs visible...get me?
