My Almera just clocked 8350km and it's a year and 3mths old now.

Going for a service. But that sc told me had to take 20k km service because they follow the month on the service booklet instead of the km. Wtf?
It costs me ard 400+ for this service. Feel like ripped off

It stated clearly in manual, 10000km or 6 months whichever earlier

you cant blame them. it does say whichever earlier. in your case... it is the month, not the milage. if you dont want to follow the manual. you can always risk it and void your warranty by servicing outside. its up to you cause you have like 2 more years to go.

I feel surprised when tan Chong using 0w20 engine oil especially in Malaysia where the weather is so hot.

What if I were to drive for hours under hot sun? Last time I jammed under the hot sun for 1 hr and feel my car already underpower.

Those grab drivers for this car will recommend which oil?

Looks like TC or Nissan wanted to dispose off their stocks of 0W-20... see the bottles all dated more than 2-3 years old. Anyway, I found better response and fuel economy on 0w-20. Previously, TC uses Castrol Maganatec 10w-30 and this oil sucks, the car no power at all.

Wondering anyone running on 0w-30 using Fully Synthetic oil? Any feel on the performance and fuel economy part?

Wanted to change back to 0w-30 or 5w-30 fs oil. The xW part is not important, as here is hot year round, even at genting temp it is still not WINTER rating.

Washer it is a term. It is just something in between the nut and the thing you are screwing it to like a spacer. In this case its a metal ring to ensure the nut tightly lock and not have any engine oil leak, also it helps the nut to be easily loosen if needed, prevents thread damage.
Its not necessary to always change it. Its cheap, I dont see why not. More than 2 changes... it will deteriorate.

Washer is not the screw. Please dont throw away the screw. Its ment to be reused.
Screw = screw/nut
Washer = the flat metal ring.
Yes u can get that yourself at any hardware store as long as you get the right washer size.

I follow SC recommended change for the engine air filter.
Cabin one yearly is good. So far I took the 20k km aircond service by SC it changes filter n cleans the AC system. If you DIY and dont go SC for service anymore.. u can buy aftermarket ones.

Any idea how to spoil the evaporator assy so that i can claim warranty before my warranty period expire ?I know this is like cheating but i think nissan have cheated the consumers more .Wheel bearing /aircon  defect is compulsory defect not to mention their service center cutting throat price
