Once u start engine, u will heard a loud sound, no matter on or off air cond

A few symptoms, you may faced with either one or all of the below

1) Unusually loud fan noise.
2) Go to quiet place. Wind down your window. Stop the engine. You may hear a faint noise just when the engine shut down. That could be the noise of the fan vibrating as it spin down. I kena this. TC replaced the fan motor under warranty.
3) Fan not running

That sound of something spinning and getting slower is what I hear too... so I go to SC to check and they say its the fan motor. It's actually the fan motor bearing that is faulty, so it make sound when spinning.

This is the radiator fan motor. Idle your car and after a while you should hear a 'tack' sound before the fan running. It would be on and off depending on the temperature.

Warranty end at 100 k ? Not 3 years only ?

Wanna confirm, Nissan has extended the warranty of bearing and motor fan to 3 years plus 6 months right ?

I called one SC, the fella said no more warranty because claimed bearing before at their SC.

I  called second SC, the fella said can claim extended warranty for bearing.

So yea..

Not sure..

I think you better call your SC and see.

Why Nissan TCM didnt install ESC into Almera
But there is a logo of ESC..hmmm

P.S Almera E manual with nismo bodykit.

pity though... i mean by adding ESC, price different from VIOS/CITY for a few ringgits wont hurt right?
affordable city car but lack of ESC and airbags... T.Vios and H.City already equip ESC to all variant, hopefully almera facelift will receive ESC.

I sent my Almera this morning to Kota Damansara SC because my wheel bearing started to make noise. True enough, they checked and said the rear wheel bearing (left side) needs to be replaced. Price is RM180. Labour charge is RM50. This is the second time I had my wheel bearings replaced. The first time was February last year, and that was the right side of rear wheel bearing.

I changed it for free last year as it is still under warranty. Sadly, for this morning's case, I had to pay as my warranty is over. I also asked them to check another kind of noise because whenever I drive, there's this sound like a muffled vacuum cleaner sound that I can hear. The sound is heard when accelerating and decelerating. They informed me that it's due to the gearbox and that it's starting to give problems already. That really sank my heart because as you know, it's not cheap to fix gearbox problems.

My next service is in June. Since my warranty period is over, is it worth sending back to Nissan SC, or it's better to go elsewhere?

If elsewhere, any recommendations around KL / PJ area?

Not sure which fan. But the symptoms are as below:
-When on air con, can hear the fan very noisy.
-When car idling for a long time without air con, will have very noisy fan

How much u change it?

How long is ur warranty?
That oil seems heavy..if really on budget no choice
Otherwise 10w30 is generally acceptable if cant find 0w20

May I know can I use 5w-30 engine oil for 2013 Almera?

The manual specifies 0w-20 but this is quite uncommon outside of warranty. Thanks.

Anyone replace 4 absorber? How much for the original part and labour fees?

Well according to manual its like 40k / 24 mths. I think it is ok to wait till 40k. The schedule usually is most optimum, you can always drag it longer if u dont drive very aggressively.
You can try changing it anytime u like when u hv the money. You must absolutely change it if it bothers u like  the gears dont seem to engage fast enough, grinding or slipping gear.
Get a reliable mechanic,ask them to check if they can do it for u.

Almera Manual November 2012 (Seremban branch)

Parts problem -
After 3.5 yrs (82k mileage)-- wheel bearing konked.
Replace rear RHS wheel bearing in Nissan service centre. Part cost RM190.8, Labour Cost RM84.8

After 4.5 years, happen last week (104k mileage)  -- cooling coil konked. 
Repair outside Mechanic cost RM800. Send in car on Sat evening, installation completed the next evening ( Dismantled dashboard)

it's a indicator but not really friendly to make sure the amounts of atf oils

Im not sure if there is any dip stick provided. If you by chance have the stick. U could check it yourself. Its somewhere at the right side of the engine block, between the battery. U will find a black cap, 10 cents size like that. I havent check before so its theory only.

It wont matter, any car almost all will be about that location for most automatics. auto, cvt. Did you even check your car after watching the vid before asking again?
The only reason I share the vid because it is the same layout with the Almera. Versa, Sunny ,Almera... it is the same car, diff country diff name.
If your car is a manual... its totally different story. The layout confirm diff.

does anybody experience this or having any idea?

everytime i off my air cond and turn off the engine, i still can hear some sound (sounds like something rotating) coming from the bonnet. after about 2 sec, the sound disappear. I suspect is my air cond, but not sure which part.
