Haha,  im not car expert,  cant suggest any. Jus tat im going to service car soon for at 58 milleage. Just thinking want to change or not as i don recall when i change at SC. I stop going SC since 3rd year and my car is 4 n half years.  What brand and price for air filter we can go for?

Also i need to change brake fluid as last change was 17k. I think brake fluid can last 40k. What brand u guys use?

ATF fluid need to change at 66k aso as last change was 26k,  i assumed atf can last 40k aso.

Last sparks plug plan to change at 80 k. Some said spark plug can last 100k?
*
Now I also wonder what to choose for air filter..

For maintenance interval, I refer to nissan versa manual.. since our manual didn't include periodic maintenance schedule..

For brake fluid, TC recommends 20k/1 yr, but I think it's too frequent, for versa 20miles/2 yrs.. so 40k/2 yrs should be fine..

ATF TC recommends 40k/2 yrs, but I just wait till 40k then only change even it took me 4yrs to reach 40k.. for versa ATF is maintenance free.. so I guess ATF shouldn't deteriorate much over yrs.. 40k should be fine..

Spark plug should last 100k i suppose? For versa every 10500 miles.. that's way over 100k alrdy..

But still I m not expert also.. just google here n there..

Last,  how about streering oil?  I notice during 3 years of service with TC,  they never do anything in streering oil.  Or almera is electric power streering thus no need for streering oil?
*
Almera comes with EPS not hydraulic system so no steering oil..

Oh yeah, I forget to let u guys know. I did my 70k km service. TC offered me the "Power engine treatment 4in1" its the repackage TC liquimoly stuff. Engine flush, injection cleaner, valve cleaner, engine treatment. Value for money, rm157.94 incl GST. Now my engine much more silent for now... will see if it get noisy after few more thousand km.
*
Actually I can't appreciate the use of all these engine treatment yet.. With or without the engine treatment I feel no difference.. Perhaps I m not so observant.. hmm.gif

I just went workshop for service.  Change enhine oil shell helix utra 5w40 RM 245.  Including oil filter 30,  q-max engine flush 20.

Was ask to change break oil but foreman said can use till change break pad next time. But mine ady 40 k for break oil. Since he said ok then i not bother to change.

Once back i reminded of the lower arm issues,  went to see myself,  yeah there is crack like what jessieccy shown.  Wondering it is happen to all almera?  Will it cause dangerous like the arm fly off during driving?  Haha
*
How's shell helix ultra 5w40 in almera? Only tried hx7 b4 coz got 5w30, closer to what manufacturer recommends.. afraid will be sluggish after using thicker oil..

Brake oil can last 60k/3 yrs, at least that's what honda recommends for their vehicle..

Well if yours is the basic one... just pick anything JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer... just dont pick Sony. I personally like Clarion but dont see much of it around. If u need more space, pick the single din/smaller size. And use the extra space as extra storage.
Or u could get the touch screen n maybe add reverse camera with it. I dont use it so i dont know what brands are good.
*
Any problem with sony headunit?

You can get very good parts at spare part shop for following price
1) Spark Plug                  RM160 (iridium)
2) Pad Kit-Disc                (never did that yet)
3) Evaporator Cleaner      RM30-40 (average), I am not sure what TC uses
4) Air Filter Cond              RM30-50 (better than TC, really good one with carbon filter)
5) 0w-20 Nissan Engine oil 4l RM120
6) Air filter for Engine      RM50 average (good one, can last very long, mine in red color)
7) Oil filter                      RM20 average (nissan brand)

You can always check outside. Engine tune.. hahaha.. plug in and use the computer to tune, I did mine at outside... RM40 only.
*
Mind sharing what air cond and engine air filter u are using?

Air Cond filter - third party brand with carbon
Engine Air Filter - Nissan original (not the Tan Choong - low quality product).
*
The tan chong air filter really that bad? The original nissan air filter can be bought from normal spare parts shop?

Wow first time hear this. Your lower arm bushings still ok? Some workshop guy told me if your lower arm not good, alignment wont help. Did you look at the wheel spinning wobbly when balancing? The point of balancing is to prevent uneaven tire wear. I think the guy wants u to change new rims. Ignore it and get 2nd opinion.
*
Not sure how to check lower arm bushing.. have to jack up the car? Ya.. the wheel spinning wobbly when balancing.. is that serious issue?

Yes hv to jack up, at least two out of three of the bushing will start to give way. But that not important, can change when it totally kong. Back to your steel rims, yes it is serious to your tire wear and suspension. I dont think got workshop want to manually reshape your rims. It is faster to just buy new set of steel rims/alloy or just get 2nd hand ones. Strange though it happened to all 4 of your rims. Steel rims are very resilient to force. Even bent a bit, the weights for counter balance should fix it. Odd
*
So u mean steel rim should be more durable?

How to say... its more resistant to chips n cracks. Sure the shape will change a bit but they are paired with fat and thick tires. Potholes dont get to bent it that easily. I doubt you drive really fast and jump over bumps and potholes. My dad's wira rims never had any problems. Maybe old steel rims were thicker than rims now.
*
Initially thought may be alloy rim more durable than steel rim.. then have to search for good old steel rims to replace.. cry.gif

No i mean petrol consumption when using this oil improves...

Which engine oil? Thought thinner oil like w20 will get better fuel consumption

Yeah just buy the Ori. Skip TC brand (made by Bando).. I think it's almost same quality with bando.
I also plan to change Ori Nissan belt.
*
TC brand inferior in quality?

I mean it's not bad, it's just made locally. I only use the theory cheap does not equals to quality. Since it's not that much money to me, I was planning to try the more expensive Nissan. My last round if I remember correctly, SC used Bando.
*
I notice ori nissan also more or less the same price.. just since so many ppl complain about the belt i thought may be should try other brand? Since ori 1 also gives prob..
