After having some of my radiator hoses changed, I find that the radiator always run down on water, every week or so need to fill in about 500ml or more of water.. Around half a coke plastic bottle.

But the reservoir tank remain totally full.

Anything funny going on?

Is it not that the reservoir tank suppose to replenish the radiator ?

Air-cond belt noise, sound like screeching emergency brakes, during very hot weather and comes on for few seconds during change of REV, ie. revving up during gear change etc.

What's the cause?
Is the heat expanding the AC belt making it too loose?

I saw boiling water dripping from somewhere at the bottom of the engine. If I look from above, it is probably at the area at the very bottom where the distributor is on the top, the water dripping from very bottom of that area, base of engine.

Is it one of the hoses?

yes had the problem. there is one hose. u need to tight the lock. mine dripping for few days. then suddenly engine will show 5bar temperature. topup then stay for 1days, then the problem repeats. check ur lower bay for any rust / water dripping marks.

Is there a metal ring tightener somewhere down there? Those metal rings with a nut to secure the pipe tightness. Was yours leaking because one of these metal rings wasn't tightened enough?

------------

Anyone know is it safe to loosen the oil drain plug a little and wrap teflon tape under the head, then secure it back? Oil dripping at the plug after oil change, due to shoddy job done by workshop recently.

My radiator hoses leaked once, and it seems leaking again although minor.
Last time was major.

I just want to know what's the probability the radiator cap is spoiled causing these chain events?

Whenever I open the radiator cap during engine cold, it takes a bit of strength to pull it off after twisting it to the other direction. After wiggling the cap off, there's this swooosh sound of air sucked in.

Afterwards, I will need to add up possibly 300-800ml of water after 3-4 trips. Until the water fills the mouth of the radiator.

My curiosity is, since the radiator has so much vacuum after water been leaked off, why doesn't it pull water from the reservoir tank to replenish what vacuum it has?

It seem the vacuum is only equalized when I open the cap.

This means the spring of the cap is probably not flexing to allow water to and fro to the overflow tank right?

My overflow tank is quite full even when the radiator lost say 1L of water in after a few drives.

What's the size of iswara oil drain plug? Thinking to buy a rounded spanner in future.

Secondly my previous mech topped motor oil 0.5cm or 0.75 cm above the MAX line. This reading taken during cold engine.
Should I need to get the oil volume reduced?
I noticed during higher revvs my engine sounded slightly noisier then previously before oil change.

i dont think my engine produces much powrr when revving 3rd gear (manual) above 2k rpm. It seems like i can step on the trottle there until above 2k to 3k but the engine doesn't seems to produce any oomph, when i switch to 4th gear its usually seem a bit underpowered. previously if i throttle abive 2k rpm on 3rd gear I can feel a moment when the car will surge forward as if some extra petrol been squirted into the carb. Now I don't have that. It seems like above 2k rpm the engine has a starving out of breath feel, maybe lack of fuel going in. Any idea why?

Is it normal for 2nd gear (manual) to drag with the characteristics of 1st gear, high revving but not much power.
This happens shortly after shifting from 1st to 2nd. When in 2nd, I could rev it up to quite high and it still seems like lacking the momentum for next gear 3rd to be engaged.
Didn't used to feel this last time.
I think 2nd gear was different back then.
Might this be a problem with air filter or air fuel ratio?
