These manufacturers make slight modifications to the design (to skirt around the design patent) but stay compatible with the LEGO system. Also, there is a need for a license in using characters from other intellectual property and I doubt that these toy manufacturers have that license. But I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt here. I have nothing against people producing and buying these sets, it is now up to LYN and consumers themselves to make their own choice. |

I bought a few to test and experiment ( not mini figs)
I would say enlighten Has the best snap fit and quality but lately getting worst. Bella ninjago line is hopeless. Parts don't snap and stay fitted at all. Others I don't dare to test already. |

Well, just a word of caution to anyone here buying bootleg Lego for their kids. One of the reasons why Lego is expensive is the paint they used...it is non toxic do when kids put in their mouth or touch them, it won't harm their body.
Bootleg Lego paint I am very sure it's not of the same paint quality. |

hello all,
just to share my inner child took over. i recently saw the Chima Eagle Legend Beast and was entice by it but i was not willing to spend rm39.90 for it, i just want the eagle. cheapskate me. so one day i saw the BELA Eagle Legend Beast and was hey... this cost a fraction of the price at rm15.90 my inner child too, so decided to get it. the build was easy and it looks almost exactly the same though i am not sure how Lego one looks like. just comparing pictures they look similar. here is the complete build but i remove the rider cause i just want the eagle hahahaha...

can anyone comment on BELA quality? im interested in its wide range of set released, i bought SY star wars set and was kind of surprise with it, i was expecting it to suck but it turned out pretty good ! sadly SY dont release alot of set.. if BELA quality is on par with SY, i might start getting them (chima, ninjago etc..) |

Should we try to revive this thread? Anyway, I bought the Decool Batman Tumbler... fantastic quality! and so cheap... Also, bought a full set (16) SY AOU mini figs (came in a nice big box)... nice discount... Missing Hawkeye and Nick Fury... sigh... have to hunt for loose boxes now... Next up... Mini Hulkbuster and Thor Armor/Suit/Bot... Will post up pics if anyone is interested? |

I'm also waiting for thisi like decool (only tumbler) and SY. but i think SY is the best for now. havent tried others. tried sluban last time. mcm tahi.. still waiting for quinjet version 2 from sy. looks good! 
But since didn't arrived yet, bought the old quinjet. |

But missing parts is still a concern for me. My quinjet got 2 parts missing, luckily, it just a common part which I replaced from extra from other bootleg sets. However this made searching for parts when building is a heart thumping moment, afraid its missing, especially unique parts.

lately have gotten into bootleg lego.. owned only Decool so far as the brand has been very satisfactory (no missing parts, very minimal fitting issues)
so far i have the Tumbler, the Ferrari and the Hulkbuster.. how does SY compare to Decool? any instances of missing pieces? I see SY actually do a lot of releases especially the latest Marvel ones.. how about Bela? since the Ferrari I have also been hooked to lego Technic style releases.. have always dreamt of owning those since i was young, and really love how they have gimmicks of different kinds.. any other releases of those? some brands which don't have problems of fitting and missing pieces i can look into? feel like looking for the lego technic F1 car from Decool now |

I was looking for the Decool Blackhawk and Bat Tank but my usual shop does not have that stocks yet..However, the shop outside from GM has it but with kinda expensive as I usually bought at "Borong" price.. just bought kai charger from Bela yesterday at GM. At home I straight away build it, seriously the block quality is really bad for me if you compare to SY brand. Got 1 missing piece, thanks god it is not important. The rubber tyre is very hard, it is not easy to fix in the rims. The finish build is okay okay, got a few pieces that a bit loose. Not sure if I want to buy Bela again. For now i will stick with SY |

Lepin is coming out with their version of Star wars.. So far listed was Kylo Shuttle Millenium Falcom Rey's Speeder First Order Tie Fighter Poe's X Wing Saw the pics for the First Order Tie Fighter.. and it looks promissing.. All estimated below RM200.. |

the Enlighten 'Adventure' pirate ship.. smaller mod of the Lego Black Sea Barracuda.. I have the Enlighten 'Black Pearl' (a mod of the Lego BSB) and also the Kazi 'Black Pearl' (a big mod of the Lego Imperial Flagship) unbuilt..

I'll review the Enlighten 307 'Adventure' set as such: 1. Minifigures: decent, but rather crappy, some faces are ok, but there are some weirdly drawn faces. I threw them out and used actual Lego pirates minifigs. The accessories are good though, especially the chromed swords. Not sure how tough the chrome coating is. 2. Brick: not bad actually, there are some fitting problems, but i would say only about 5% of the total bricks; the ship is steady and stable. There are also some discoloration (brownish streak) on 1 or 2 of the long grey plates, but nothing obvious. 3. Other stuff: the strings for the sails are ok, but there's a big problem (for the Enlighten 308 Black Pearl set) with the 'rubber' hose used as the hook for one of the treasure chest; the rubber hose broke in pieces, too brittle. Luckily, not an important or even useful part. The sails are made of some kinda hard paper, but they actually feels authentic 4. Instruction book: straight to the point and easy to follow. no problems there. Overall, for the price, you'd get a solid ship. The minifigures are forgettable and you can just use your own. Tried the tumbler and I ended up with a few extra parts (a transparent yellow and red stud, a peg, a grey grill, a small black panel. Will just keep them just in case the next purchase have missing parts
I have been looking around and saw that Lepin will be releasing (on top of the TIE and the AT) more force awakens set. I am looking forward to the millennium falcon one so am very interested on a review of any of bela lepin's recent kits (i.e. if their brick quality is any better than before) |

Finished build lepin temple of airjitzu today, took me around 8 hours. Brick quality is good. But minifig quality is bad.
But really pening to build this things because of the parts count. I just use the book given, eventhough the color are off, but after some time i'm kinda figure out the correct color. Also lucky me, there is no missing part at all. The end result looks totally awesome, totally gonna buy all lepin star wars set after this. Haven't finished yet but here is my Airjitsu Temple with Destiny's Bounty. Both are BELA brand

Assembled the Kazi Black Pearl.. sans the sails (the patterns are just too cartoony for me, going to make some cloth sails later).
Added a Lego Octopus as the figurehead.. i named her The Night Kraken!    My review: The Good: 1. HUGE ship, and hefty too. 2. Love the roomy Captain's cabin 3. Looks menacing with the black/grey scheme, the size helps too The Bad: 1. Fitting problem, particularly later in the build (the top parts of the hull sides have problem fitting, have to apply force, and that hurt fingers) 2. Plastic quality on some pieces are bad, especially anything with clips. (some of mine just broke off, but luckily just thin pieces, so clip function intact) 3. Very sharp edges, most painful build ever.. doesnt help that the bad fittings require using force to push down the bricks. 4. Masts pieces kinda loose (temporarily fixed that by inserting technic axle to hold them, might glue them later). 5. Horrible sails pattern. 6. No way to easily access the Captain's cabin. 7. room under the Captain's cabin underused. Overall: despite the Bads, i actually like the ship. It's huge and imposing, and looks great too. Completed the Kazi 87011 Government Ship.. going to replace the supplied sails which has nice prints but made of exampad cover-like paper.. Build experience was just like the Kazi Black Pearl; painful to the fingers, but luckily less parts.. some fitting problems at the hull top sides too. But overall it's a beuatiful ship, almost like a clone of the Lego Brickbeard's Bounty/ Brick Bounty.
   and more on the Black Pearl, truly a magnificent ship!    between Kazi and Enlighten, i prefer Enlighten's brick quality and fit, but in terms of looks, i prefer the Kazi ships. |
