QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Dec 8 2014, 10:14 AM) Pharma companies' main cost is R&D My take is that weak MYR should benefit companies like Hovid with high export % of total revenue Where did you read that Hovid has high export %? Source please.

QUOTE(Boon3 @ Dec 8 2014, 10:24 AM) Where did you read that Hovid has high export %? Source please. Annual report - under segmental reporting. Slightly more than half of total revenue is derived from export. Among CCMDBIO, Pharmaniaga and Hovid, Hovid is highest exporter in %.

QUOTE(gark @ Dec 8 2014, 10:16 AM) Its called HST aka. high speed trading. There are a couple of books out there on this... you don't actually do the trades yourself, you put the algorithm into the program and it highlights the 'potentials' according to the criteria and also sometimes the computer execute the trades yourself. 100 trades a day is norm for HST, they pay very little or no brokerage and buy sell with 1 tick difference. Success stories is always inspiring to read.... but it's never easy to emulate.

BUT..... in the process of picking what works..... one has to go thru many trials and errors........ in the stock market..... trials and errors kills if one is not careful ..... which is why........................... FAKE trading is a must.

Its revenue has been growing at a CAGR of 11.8% in 2009-2013 and export sales contributed 52.5%, or MYR90.5m, to its FY13 topline Don't worry, it's not from Madagascar gang

At one time when hovid was cheap (when they dispose carotech) I was really interested, but as a turnaround story.. not so much now as the growth is tepid.. I THINK EPS growth would be at around 10%+/- p.a. at best For annualised FY2015 figures, I used Basic EPS...if used Diluted EPS, the growth would be stagnant Yeah, I forgotten my EPS calculation stuff already Eh eh eh, why til now no one talked on the chart? If you use 3 years that is the strong rebound AFTER the sold off carotech... before that they were losing lots of money. Can the momentum be sustained?

Since MYR had dropped? And if its dealing with USD then it'll be an advantage for them? *kinda new here* Need Guidance

QUOTE(gark @ Dec 8 2014, 10:42 AM) Oil goes down... but the Armada CEO got kicked out... And now the price rise. How can the market take this news as positive? Market likes to think differently. For example... the other issue was the (former) CEO, Hassan, had been the main seller of the company shares. With the disposal announcement showing that Hassan no longer holds any shares... perhaps the market now thinks.... that this is the signal that there should be no more selling...... when sellers end selling.... the stock should go up. LOL!

Let's say har... Selling price USD100 Raw material price (imported materials) USD60 profit USD40 But with weakening Ringgit, the USD40 will become higher in RM terms. Should be good, right?
