In this storm, Mah Sing seems quite stable. Property developer, yeah property is heating...but their projects mostly at Klang Valley, not too expensive too...can buy for 3-5 year period?

I got Mah Sing shares too. But since it is going to have right issues and bonus issues, I wait and see first.

That day I followed a fiber installer to a condo run by Mah Sing. The MD's young son happened to be there. Everybody called him 'boss'. Typical chinaman company...

Shares in MOL Global had earlier in the week declined by 59% to US$1.69 (RM5.83), which is about 80% below its IPO price of US$12.50 (RM43.10) on its debut in the United States on Oct 9.

StarBiz reported yesterday that MOL Global’s single largest shareholder Tan Sri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun gave his backing to the company’s management and felt that the stock had been unfairly punished.

MOL is currently under 4 different Class Action lawsuits... its going to be huge long mess ... Better dont touch anything related to MOL..

Consolidated revenue increased by 5.6% to MYR47.7 million (US$14.5 million) from MYR45.2 million in the corresponding period of 2013.

Profit attributable to shareholders of MOL Global Inc. decreased 61.5% to MYR2.4 million (US$0.7 million) in the third quarter of 2014 from MYR6.3 million in the corresponding period of 2013.

During the course of the Company's review of its financial results for the third quarter of 2014, the Company's auditor discovered that its Vietnamese subsidiary, Nganluong Joint Stock Company ("Nganluong"), which was acquired by the Company in March 2013, reported revenue from its payment business on a gross basis, and accounted for the corresponding fees payable to merchants being included in direct cost and other ancillary expenses. However, the Company's accounting policy is to account for such transactions on a net basis because the Company acts as an agent with respect to these revenue arrangements, such that the corresponding fees payable to merchants should have been netted out of revenue and not included in direct cost and other ancillary expenses.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Wall Street's biggest banks remain convinced the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates by June 2015, a Reuters poll found, and economists also said the market was underestimating how aggressively the U.S. central bank will tighten policy.

The median forecast of 18 dealers for the federal funds rate at the end of next year was 1 percent, compared with the median forecast of Fed policymakers of 1.38 percent, according to projections from the central bank's October meeting.

The median forecast of 14 dealers for the federal funds rate at the end of 2016 was 2.5 percent, compared with policymakers' median forecast of 2.88 percent. By the end of 2017, 10 primary dealers projected a median federal funds rate of 3.5 percent, while policymakers' median forecast was 3.75 percent.
