Hi all,

just for information, if anyone interested to invest in ETF there's another way you can invest, either using your pension fund(KWXP) or cash (minimum is 50K)

As for example, if invest in Phillip Global Wrap Account (we are using PhillipCapital platform) you can invest in fund like MyETF Dow Jones U.S. Titans 50 (MyETF-US50) which the top 10 holdings is Microsoft, Amazon, facebook and more...

to know more you can PM me

Avoid. Buying via malasyian&oq ETF. Can buy but hard to sell.
Commision also not cheap.

Tell me what's the commission? Any dividend charges? Any plate platform fees?

What's the spread?

Lebih baik parking EPF until they substantially lower or abolish those sales charges

Okay guys, here is the result of my experiment of bringing back monies from CapTrader (EUR) to Maybank account (MYR).

Used CapTrader to transfer my EUR cash (leftover after buying VWRL in AEB) to TransferWise's EUR account. Transaction fee is zero.

Transferred EUR to my MBB account from TW, total transaction fee about 0.973% which includes TW's fee of EUR 8.21 (0.821% out of EUR 1000) and forex loss of 0.152% (TW's 4.60484 vs 4.61183 EUR-MYR rate).

Received my money in my MBB account within 3 days from CapTrader. I compared with converting other currencies (SGD and USD) in TW to MYR and they differ quite a lot, with EUR-MYR being the cheapest.
What do you think of the cost to bring back the monies from IB/CapTrader? Is 1% too much? Do you have cheaper ways?
PS: I found that my Ireland-domiciled ETF, VWRL bought in AEB (EUR currency) gives me the dividend in USD. Since my shares are still little thus my dividend is very little, converting USD to EUR to buy back the ETF is too expensive (EUR 4 in IB). Jokes on me. doh.gif

hehe, next purchase, go hantam 'accumulating' one, unless you like the dividend distributed to captrader account sitting and not reinvested =/

win liao, alex will edit sp500 page.

Will open tradestation account soon

#on second thought, this step actually needs fren tolong only can be cheapest. Also, coz add one more step, convenience is an issue. MYR need SGD then only EUR/GBP hoot.

I also hope can halak my sg fren....but long term wise, need to always wait his availability...unless the rate really justifies.

Currently instarem MYR straight EUR 0.45%

then MYR -> SGD -> EUR if whole process is 0.2% and cheaper, I'll only do this. If not, time and effort alone is worth more I guess?
