But in my opinion the GTX 970m is as good as you can get d. The best mobile gpu currently is GTX 980m but that one you probably need to add extra over 1k compared to 970M

This I agree..gtx 970m can be considered the best price to performance ratio graphic card

Z5 with 970m should be good enough..with the sshd also quite fast dy

oh well, i understood differently. anyway 970 is fine, even 960. i do 3d autocad with 860 plus some rendering stuff too

Yes we will have skylake featured in all ILLEGEAR models, but the prices will become very much expensive comparing to haswell according to the prices we just got from factory, and btw USD is now 4.3.

Both 960M and 970M are great choice, if you have the budget you can consider upgrading to 16GB ram or a SSD.

I was using z5 to surf net then suddenly hang and restart by itself and went to the screen below. it will go back to the same screen no matter which option I chose. how to solve this problem??

Would you mind giving that approximate "expensive" price ? Roughly how much ? IMO, Illegear can consider the 5th generation Intel processors as well, e.g. i7-5850HQ, i7-5950HQ.

There seriously no benefit. Broadwell is more of IPC enchancement with iGPU.

Its a better upgrade for illegear RU14 Pro.

Skylake.. u can see from aftershock pricing .. SGD330 more when you choose a skylake.
This should include the cost of the motherboard. But ultimately on notebook so far ROG 752 has the right implementation of skylake.. support for NVME m.2 ssd PCIE 4x. If ure not gonna get this.. no point going for a skylake cpu for gaming.

its too early at moment. Definately want USB 3.1/C etc... its a serious mobo change. Also now the VRM will be on the mobo again.

Dunno whether u noticed. There aint many spoilt Haswell Notebook Mobos.

I think illegear stance is correct. Cause if not ure gonna get a half assed mobo with similar connectivity with only difference is skylake. But this seriously gonna make a z5 970m 16gb costing close to 7k.

Broadwell itself other manufactorers are asking for extra.. shudder to think whats z5 gonna cost.

Btw, turn off Intel Turbo Boost to reduce the heat. I noticed if turn on, CPU easily went above 80-90.

guys currently i'm using 8GB ram in my z5, if i wanna upgrade to 16GB, jz pay for another 8GB price? or the dual channel type of 16GB(8+8?) is different from the standard 8?

I think should be the same, just get another 8GB with the same speed.
