Can you snap a picture of you screen in low light places with blacklight background? Cause if you check under a high light exposure room, you won't notice the screen bleeding.

Looks like my backlight is bleeding too. I managed to snap some photos at 5AM with all the lights turned off completely and got them auto-awesomed.

At my normal viewing distance from the screens:

Hi Randy,

I can see you got 2 perfect IPS screens here.

They are not bleeding, they are LCD backlight reflection when environment is dark enough.

No wonder no matter how hard I tried to find the bleed on the screens I couldn't, until when it got really dark then only I saw these. And only through my camera that I could see them. Haha. Great! Good to know those are not bleeds!

I first heard of Illegear when browsing through the Garage Sales section and seeing a thread titled something like "Illegear cusotom laptops", got curious then Googled it and found your video, then only I found this thread. The specs and cooling system got me interested.

Can't agree more. I've been hoping Illegear to be great and do well, so that if I ever need a laptop I can just go to them, since they even have decent post-sales services. And all their laptops have specs that meet my needs.

The Z5 screen is assembled in the factory (the same factory that manufacture Alienware FYI), not assembled by ILLEGEAR.

IPS bleeding is very common in the industry and almost all IPS screens we see have backlit bleeding. If you want something that has less bleeding, go for TN display I suggest.

Illegear definitely is one top performance laptop brand in msia by far and I think their service reputation is the biggest factor to achieve that.

I would still prefer IPS as it is the newer display tech. And believe me as an engineer in IT field, IPS has a LOT of perfect screens.

HI Fr3eze,

It would be great if you brought your laptop here, so that we could assess it further. If you believe that the problems is still there then we are willing to have your screen changed as many times as you want. smile.gif

Good to know. But I suggest to have a check on those laptop which are going to be delivered for this issue. Since you all are doing stress test and other testing on the laptop before delivering it to customer, I think it is better to add in this test also. At least it can make sure the bleeding is not as serious as the case for freeze. smile.gif

Hi miong93,

We will definitely assess the screen when the laptop is here. If the screen is very bad, we will definitely report to factory and inform our technician.

Cloud just dropped by our office and we have checked his screen.
The screen is completely fine (closed to perfect) but we noticed that the actual bleeding isn't as much as the one shown in his post in this thread.
When I tried to use my iphone camera to capture it, the bleeding is shown in my phone tho. I just assumed that the phone camera has some features to capture the light.

Yea, I hope you guys can check a little bit more to ensure it is in perfect condition since there are 2 people involved already. Don't make people think the QC of ILLEGEAR is bad smile.gif
I think if you want to capture the image in low light condition, phone camera is not good enough. You need DSLR or Lumia 1020. DSLR and Lumia 1020 have better ISO value compared to others.

It is almost like my screen. I find it okay. But didn't you just said you can realize the different and bleeding even when under normal usage ? If that is the case then you should opt for a replacement since ILLEGEAR accepted your case.
Mine is quite similar to yours, but slightly better. Mine is working fine tho. sweat.gif
