I would say its based on luck bro..he might get a better screen and u might not, or vice versa..so his update on his rma is irrelevant..

It all comes down to user preference..if u feel its not right and u got ocd , then go for rma...if u WANT TO confirm that ur next screen does not have any bleeding, just go for TN as prince j mentioned earlier..it all depends on your bro whether u can live with it or not and whether u willing to take the risk or not.

To tell u the truth, most companies wont even give a fuck to replace the screen due to bleeding or dead pixel (1 to 4 pixels) issue..and illegear is willing to do that at their own cost coz customer satisfaction is their main priority..haha so think wisely bro nefore going for that rma coz u need to travel far also if im not mistaken.....SAFEST BET, JUST GO FOR TN, or just get the new ips but luck la bro

just order the Z5 from illegear. now waiting it to be ready!

It is good to know ILLEGEAR agreed to have a replacement for you guys, but do note the new screen MAY BE BETTER or MAY NOT BE BETTER. So if you agree to have a replacement, please don't complain later on okay ?
Just be considerate to ILLEGEAR team also, since they're bearing the cost for you. You can try out other IPS screen, like monitor or laptop. You can more or less see the same thing. (Ignore those 1.2k++ quality monitor)

anyone mind to share how you install *ahem windows on your z5 without the dvd / cd?

To install OS on your Z5, whether it is genuine or un-genuine, the procedure is the same. (mostly)
Download the OS installer, burn it into an ISO format into your pendrive. Plug your pendrive in and go to BIOS and load your pendrive.

make sure the pendrive dont have anything important cuz will format the drive just for windows installation. mine auto run and just press enter enter enter enter yes yes yes lol

I can live with it. Since I'm not goin to stare at the black screen so long.. and who the heck would ply games all the time in dark rooms? it will only spoil your eyes.

But I respect illegear for providing such a good quality of after-sales-service without all the hassle i might need to go through with other companies.

It depends on what you're looking for.. So far I have never heard of aftershock's warranty service. So I don't know how good is it.. If price-wise aftershock is slightly higher than Illegear.

I have seen a aftershock user so far.. Wish to meet one lol

But you may get S5 as well.

The difference between this 2 is

z5- 1 primary hdd slot / no cd slot / GTX 960m/970m (4.2k/5k)
s5- 2 primary hdd slot / with cd slot GTX 970m/980m (5.5k/not sure)
