There must be people who like to accumulate debt. If not so, how banks will earn enough to give us cashback ?
Yup, that's right. Basically if we use rm1000 only, bank will incur some lost, but who cares Maybank Islamic MasterCard Ikhwan Platinum/Gold, Another Fantastic 5% Cash Back Card

Then i said rm3000 is better since i will spend more on groceries. CS agree and process my application. After approved, my m2u online show 3000 limit but no decreasing on my mbb2 card until now. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 16 2015, 04:37 PM) They will reject you first, it will be from your side to request for split limit if you still want to pursue with this card. No worries. i know that Ikhwan is good after AMEX has cancel the 5% benefit.but i still don't understand why need to split limit for Ikhwan card? it looks like quite troublesome. can we just apply another Ikhwan card and share the credit limit with the maybank2 card? |

QUOTE(wan7075 @ Oct 17 2015, 10:50 AM) i know that Ikhwan is good after AMEX has cancel the 5% benefit. firstly, ikhwan and maybank2cards are by 2 different entities - islamic and conventional. therefore they do not actually share credit limit. if you just apply ikhwan like that, it will be treated as a new application. the reason being why most people split limit is because it is very hard to get approved as a new application.but i still don't understand why need to split limit for Ikhwan card? it looks like quite troublesome. can we just apply another Ikhwan card and share the credit limit with the maybank2 card? |

QUOTE(wan7075 @ Oct 17 2015, 10:50 AM) i know that Ikhwan is good after AMEX has cancel the 5% benefit. Of course you can apply like normal but Ikhwan till date has one of the highest rejection rates compared to other cards. I have been rejected twice and just approved recently after I agreed to split limit. but i still don't understand why need to split limit for Ikhwan card? it looks like quite troublesome. can we just apply another Ikhwan card and share the credit limit with the maybank2 card? Ways to get Ikhwan MasterCard: I) Apply like normal applications II) If method I fails, then ask to split limit from your existing conventional credit limit to Islamic credit limit. III) If method II still fails, convert your existing Maybank card to Ikhwan. This post has been edited by fruitie: Oct 17 2015, 11:09 AM |

QUOTE(supersound @ Oct 17 2015, 08:04 AM) Well, latest news that I read from thestar is 47% of the youngsters are having bad debts(CC or PL) and there's sign of increasing. they can go bankrupt for all i care but don't later the government impose more stringent measure that may affect all of usMost people never think on how this 1.5%/month will do until they reach age of 30 where they are getting married or buying a house. AKPK, newspapers, online portals have such articles but yet some refuse to read and understand, rather than asking others to support having bad debts are right. When dealing with such people, using the gentle way won't help |

The thing is Gen-Y is so called the leaders for tomorrow and it's at this worrying stage now. |

QUOTE(alexanderclz @ Oct 17 2015, 11:31 AM) we all know what the GST is for. and yeah, i do agree with the 2nd one; if your pay is not enough, then don't get so many credit cards. i am merely giving examples that even though we are not the culprit, the measures are blanket. so you cannot say that it will not affect us here.QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 17 2015, 11:30 AM) That's true and I'm quite sure government is looking into this as it's already reported on newspaper. So is sooner or later they will revise the T&C, OCBC was the first, follow by dual card. So now the bloody question is, which is the next |

QUOTE(supersound @ Oct 17 2015, 05:12 PM) WHat I mean is less T&C on getting cash back cards. Both of them I applied is because of this. but stanchart business visa plat used to offer 0.5% cb + 5x points for anything. that's the best card for me last time for "every other" items.Other no doubt have cash back, but with T&C |

When you apply a card and get rejected, do review your current financial status. |
