QUOTE(Jxion @ Jul 4 2015, 11:08 PM) I see.. Personally, I'd better take G551JW-DM016H over G551JW-DM017H...Another question this time: is the G551JW really worth the RM400-500 price difference compared to the GL552JX? Many thanks! Indeed that g551JW with GTX 960m worth the difference. 960m is another level above GTX 950m DDR3 in GL552JX.. |

QUOTE(kelvinling @ Jul 5 2015, 04:09 PM) haha.. you beat me to this question. I'm thinking of the same thing. Because one main difference from the 552 is that it doesnt have a cd drive. That's all I know.. Haha high five!I'm not so sure about the CD-Drive but I think it comes with DVD Drive so that shouldn't be a problem. Still not sure though! QUOTE(nik91 @ Jul 5 2015, 04:36 PM) Personally, I'd better take G551JW-DM016H over G551JW-DM017H... Thanks for you advice, nik. Very helpful. Hope you're liking your new GL552JX. Nothing to worry about, since that is most likely where ur hard disk is located. |

Asus G series notebook support Kingston HyperX impact 2133 RAM! just brought myself 32GB 8GB x 4 modules
Running like crazy beast on G751, Did some test on Photoshop, 3dmax and games. 40% faster than regular 1600 ram. Good news for those who wish to push their beast to the limits. Will see if any higher options available in the near future. references http://www.kingston.com/en/hyperx/memory/impact |

Sorry for late reply,This is serious and I've tested myself. of course will be no difference if you use it for Facebook, or browsing. If you use it for workstation or gaming, you will feel the difference. Why buy RM12000 Notebook when G751JY is farrrr more than enough? mPCIE SSD with up to 1490MB/s + 32GB 2133 CL11 RAM and stay COOL AND SILENT ALL THE TIME, GAMING FOR 6 HOURS [ Replay Crysis 3 again ]. Now sadly need to wait for Batman arkham knight PC release, my favorite. what's the exact ram model? Price you can find at local store, if have stock. Or grab some from Ebay. reference : http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kingston-HyperX-Im...=item2c9a0ffef9 The fastest avaiable in the market. and cheaaaap! Aprox. RM1300 for 32GB i got mail from overseas. Still cheap than desktop ram. |

GTX960 version are expensive, With RM3930 is a reasonable price. If you want to check whether you overpaid, you can refer to the ASUS Product guide magazine. The selling price usually lower or same with what stated in the magazine. if more than that then... sue the seller. |

Now sadly need to wait for Batman arkham knight PC release, my favorite. Oh that's great for you. For some reasons I don't feel significant differences between value and performance rams in my daily usage (mostly tech work with rather intensive tasks, and gaming) That's also why i need cpus running at least 4ghz. To me more ram is more useful. (When my machines don't have enough rams i use servers in lab hehehe they have at least 384gb)Price you can find at local store, if have stock.
