Hi guys , Anybody mind helping me climb the ladder with Renolock or Mally / Mill Rouge.

Watch pro gamer Hearthstone videos online (YouTube , Facebook etc). Do not expect everyone to be on the same level of mindset and skills. Just play the game!

You pay for most coaching sessions per hour or by month. Like some people here, they did not give you the obvious reply. If you already watched so much and still can't grasp it, you may seek the coach or acknowledge where you can be around for your level.

I usually advise straight-forward and that it is your capacity instead of others. Some people might be lucky but some are really just that good. That's how gamers are as usual. There's a quote before saying "You can't help anyone but yourself." That really goes in terms with any games people play.

This is gold! Precisely the reason ive been playing priest for a couple of months now. Thats the beauty of it. The ugly side, you'd be damned if you mulliganned and got SWD, Entombx2, and mind control as your first 4 cards though tongue.gif

Yes, its possible for f2p player to get decent decks. Checkout trumps videos, there are some on mastering basic decks. Having that said, just because you have an awesome deck, doesnt mean you will win all the time. Experience and luck matters too.
I started off F2P to test the water, before putting money in. From experience, i believe use your gold for packs, build and play your decks, gain experience before heading to Arena. With that experience, you will know which card to play given any situation as Arena can be really random.

it is wise to spend gold on arena instead of card pack. only an extra 50, if you dont have a single win in arena. a random card pack is guaranteed. but if you win more. maybe u get 1-3 packs?

The maximum card pack from Arena is 1 pack, even at 12 wins. You need to win 3-6 games to compensate for the difference between buying a pack directly and earning one through Arena. More wins in arena would just give you slightly more gold/dust/cards. Maximum gold per box at 12 wins is between 25- 185 gold. So having that in mind, unless you have been playing for a while, knows how each card synergizes with other cards, and know which card to play at each situation, I’d suggest buying packs, and save the 50 gold instead of going straight to Arena. At least until you learn enough to rank below 10 consistently.

I would advise the opposite.

Throw yourself in the arena with some net (HearthArena). You'll be able to hit 3 most of the time.

Newbies should know that getting good at Arena is a large time investment. In the beginning it feels real tough grinding that 150 gold just to enter. Also in the beginning, of course you are not good, so you might get 1-3 or 0-3 more than a few times and it feels bad. Of course in the long run it will pay off because you're increasing your win rate slowly and the returns are better. Older players always recommend you play Arena, but for the newbies reading this, please understand that it is a time investment to be good at Arena to the point where it's profitable. You need time, as well as RNG Gods on your side.

Arena really is like luck base... even with those tools or website reference.... sometimes its just dont give you some nice choices you are stuck with it.

Anyway.... i was thinking if this game allow you to hand pick your opening first 4 - 5 cards, wont the game be much fun then just RNG all the way?

HearthArena guides you on which cards to choose, and their synergies. That’s about it. We’ll it’s a gamble (you said most of the time). I think there are other ways to start off than to go straight to arena for F2P, although, the ultimate goal is to get good at Arena as that would be your main source of gold/dust/cards.

Important thing is first focus on a deck that can get you to at least rank 15. It can be just a basic deck (check Trump’s Teachings). From there, you shouldn’t have any problems getting your Dailies done.

When at rank 15, plan out a deck that's of a higher tier (that at least shows up in liquid hearth power rankings or Tier 3+ in Tempostorm) and low cost. Determine what adventure cards you need for it, and go for those cards (might involve DE and crafting). Once you have it, start on Arena and working towards making that deck. Note on DE: please ask around before DE anything if you are not certain (I wouldn’t DE EPICs or LEGENDARY for now).

Other than that, just play more often & watch more tutorials/games. With more practice (it could be just Casual game), you will eventually get better, and get good at Arena - average of 3 wins at least to break even. Like I mentioned earlier, you need to win 3-6 games to compensate for the difference between buying a pack directly and earning one through Arena.

personally, i prefer Arena. if you already know the mechanics and roughly how to evaluate cards, then go with Arena.

even with 2-3 wins, you already get some dust, some gold and a pack.

read up what some are saying with the latest Arena (like 50% more likely to get LoA cards),... and then... go! smile.gif

Initially started with Kiblers, then switch to Kolentos. Off and on modified according to the meta and my play style. Removed Cabal/Shrink to make room for more 3 mana cards
Currently this is the Dragon Priest Deck I'm using.
- Shrinkmeister, + Brann

You can see I only have 6* cards having 6 mana and above. That's why I'm very pissed when I get those 6-9 mana cards in my ending mulligan. *I consider Vol'jin a 6+mana card, as he hardly sees any play before turn 6
