Malaysian weekend is implied to Malaysia time and time zone also. doh.gif

Not really, as this has been discussed before. Some are saying follow the oversea's time while I tested is follow Malaysian's time.

I think swipe on the spot follow oversea time while online transaction at Malaysia site using oversea payment processor must follow Malaysia time.

That's what I remembered. Correct me if I'm wrong.
*
Nope, online or swipe also the same. Tested already. That's why I missed some cash back doh.gif

So must follow Malaysia weekend, time zone and time right?

That was my first perception since the beginning since I have no chance to validate as I seldom travel nor do online shopping.
*
Yup, that's right. Because I'm receiving the SMS when swiping and doing online using M2U the time stamp on the transaction will tell.
So in other sense, weekend cash back in overseas are about 1 day, unless it is open 24 hours.

To enjoy cashback from Maybank, we need to follow msia time?  sad.gif

time different is too much.

Why worry? Even if you lose the cash back, you still got 5X TPs. AMEX are widely accepted in overseas.
Or you want to be like me? Swipe happily for groceries using the STUPID card and at the end of day get rm0 cash back? Then complaint and the CS bring me round the garden, even send a hard copy T&C to me but can't tell me the MCC.

because conversion rate at oversea is high for amex, need the cashback to neutralize it.
*
Nope, this I don't really agree with you.
Before concluding anything, you need to consider which currency you will be using. And take the cash you change as reference.
Like when I exchanged my Qatar Riyal in Malaysia, it was rm92 = 100 Riyal.
Swipe my AMEX in Qatar after currency exchange it is only rm91 = 100 Riyal.

You may see the above, first 2 are from my AMEX while the last is from Master.
Middle East currencies are quite stable, so the fluctuations are quite minimum.

Still the same, check how much you need to spend to get USD100, then compare the rate from Amex.

I'm going to shoot below email to Maybank & bank negara..i feel so not protected!!

bnmtelelink@bnm.gov.my

Dear officer,

I’m writing in to complain Maybank Berhad for using my personal data illegally by issuing a credit card under my name without my consent.

This is very dangerous as my personal data with Maybank is not protected and being used to sign up for their financial product which I’m not aware of!

Chronology:
Nov 17,  sms from 66628  Maybankard: We are pleased to inform that your application has been approved. Thank you
Dec 4, sms from 66628  Your Maybank card is not activated. For activation, pls SMS to 66628 the 9 digit Activation code.
Dec 5, I made a call to 1300 88 6688 (maybank careline) to enquire about these sms received. CS named XXX said it was a credit card that was “Pre-approved” by Maybank Merlimau branch (which I don’t have any transaction with them). And said might be a promotional phone call from them (which I don’t received any calls from Maybank Merlimau). And worst still the registered address for this card is somewhere in KL (which is not where I stay!!!!) This is totally unacceptable and I feel very unsafe being a Maybank customer that my personal data would be misused at ANYTIME!!!

Pls investigate further why is this happening.
If your branch is pushing hard for sales target and thus use this way to hit target, I can tell you that this is very unethical and whoever did this should  be penalize immediately!

Pls bring my case to your upper management and I do not wish the same thing to happen to me or anyone else again!

This kind of thing shouldn’t happen, especially with Maybank!! What the heck!

Where you applied your card?

How about other bank's credit card?
If you applied any card at booth, they will sometimes use that to apply for you.

You need to know where is the leakage of your personal info happens.
Else you are in trouble, just worry is the MBB's bank abusing your info and "pre-approve" a card for you to make money.
What ever it is, you can take legal action if you don't want the card(BNM, FMB is the place). Even if you want the card, also make some noise, else you will end up like me now, every week sure 1 call from Hong Leong Group, promoting their things.

but this is just second thursday of the month, and i reach tgv around 11am... 13500 free tickets sold out at 4th Dec?  hmm.gif

When I click on AirAsia's website to look for free seats on 4th day, I get nothing. There's something call booking.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Dec 12 2014, 12:22 AM)
Er... I watched once two weeks ago, the last Thursday of November, still can buy. Last week also watched and this week very busy with work, so didn't go.
I doubt the 13,500 tickets are really implemented. Moreover, he can watch standard not IMAX. These 13500 tickets should include for all types, not only limited to IMAX. Unless, I didn't see it clearly.

Have you tried before? If you don't, then I suggest you just keep quiet.
Don't try to troll here. Don't think I don't know what kind of attitude you have bought to this section. If you keep going around with this tone, I'll just give you few days to cool off.
*
I tried already, can book it on 1st week, not after. Now is school holiday, so the tickets are moving fast.
Am I trolling? Don't use your personal view, be objective.
Anything can be changed, like the good old USD110 crude oil price in July, after 5 months it is merely below USD60.
With such buy 1 free 1 offer, I only can say must act fast especially during this long period of holiday, else like some Chinese movie's actor says : tomorrow please come early.

if my payment due date on 13th is RM100, and i swipe on 12th with RM10 and the transaction still not shown,

should i pay 110 on the 13th or follow the outstanding balance shown on m2u?
*
Always pay following statement balance before due date. This is to prevent you to get penalty.
In M2U, it will state outstanding balance and statement balance.

guys, heard there's promotion going on with swipe 3 times on each card (amex + master/visa) u get rm100 cash back can be used to pay gst.

if i sign up now, do i pay for 1 year, example Dec2014 to Dec 2015 or Dec2014 then Jan2015 a new year?

pls advice
*
Still on till they change the T&C.
If you get the card this year, then next year you need to pay.
And don't use TP to offset GST, pay it with your money, TP use it to redeem AeoBig's cash voucher(rm105 and if you use that on 28th each month you will get rm110). And TP redemption must do it on nearest MBB card center.

QUOTE(PrincZe @ Dec 14 2014, 02:56 PM)
thank u very much fruitie. then i can go apply one soon.

probably during pc fair. when they give out freebies  rclxms.gif

As far as possible, don't do it on booth. Your info are not secured as most of the booth agents are third party.

Which TP redemption must be done in MBB card centre? The vouchers? I have not redeemed any of Aeon vouchers though. Good info. How many points needed for 105 bucks?
*
Is simple, you do it online, you waste 2500 as postage. Since you always in KL, MV do have a card center. Now when ever I have enough points and going there, I'll change it to cash vouchers.
All others are only rm100 with 25000 while AeonBig are rm105. And if using it on 28th where AeonBig doing store wide 5% discount, that's rm110.25 of value. But beware, the voucher are with expiry date.

Most of the on the spot redemption vouchers are still at the same rate of 12,500 = RM50 (Metrojoya, Robinsons etc). This conversion rate was after the major adjustment some time last year I guess. Long long time ago, it was 9,500 = rm50 for the above 2 outlets.
*
The points in the webpage still the same. 2000pts are for postage cost. No changes yet as of now thumbup.gif
2 months back only redeemed rm600, now I can redeem another rm420 thumbup.gif

am linking both the gold and amex to my paypal account. gold card no problem, but when trying to link amex to paypal there was an error saying card can't be added, asking me to try again later. However I received sms notification from MBB saying that I was charged USD1 for using my amex card in paypal.

anyone had this issue before?

thanks!

You need to "unlock" AMEX by calling the card center.

Don't worry too much, AMEX by theory are suck in security. That's why Maybank block almost all online transactions by default.
